Vicky Kaushal is an Indian Bollywood actor known for his work in Bollywood Movie. He is the recipient of numerous awards including a National Movie Award and two Filmfare Awards and has appeared in Forbes India’s superstar 100 lists of 2019.
After graduating with an engineering degree from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Vicky Kaushal started his film-defined profession by assisting Anurag Kashyap in the 2012 crime Movie Gangs of Wasseypur and went on to play minor roles in two of Anurag Kashyap’s Movies.
His first starring role was in the 2015 drama Masaan, following which he starred in the psychological thriller Raman Raghav 2.0 Film (2016). He gained wider recognition in 2018 with supporting roles in Raazi and Sanju, two of the big-grossing Bollywood films of the year, winning the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for the latter.
A leading role as a military officer in the 2019 war movie Uri: The Surgical Strike established Vicky Kaushal as a leading actor and won him the National Film Fare Award for Best Actor. He receive critical acclaim for his portrayal of Udham Singh in the biopic Sardar Udham (2021), which won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor.
In addition to his acting career, Kaushal endorses several brands and products and has co-hosted and performed at award ceremonies. Vicky Kaushal is married to actress Katrina Kaif.
