- Times of India critics gave 2.5 star from 5 star and stated that “To sum it up, the film is as unique as superstar Shah Rukh Khan, but it lacks his charisma.”
- Sarit Ray from Hindustantimes gave 3 star out of 5 star and writes that “Bakrapur has more originality than your run-of-the-mill star-studded film. Now if only the goat could make a Bollywood career out of this, the satire would be complete.”
- Rashmi Mishra from India.com rated the film 1.5 star out of 5 star and criticize the film by stating that “Yeh Hai Bakrapur has managed to follow that movie for sure, as there is nothing to watch or preach.
