Story of the film
A middle-class father loses his only daughter in a tragic incident when they get caught amid a political rally. He chooses to oppose the system, and a lawyer and the lawyer’s son support him in his struggle for basic rights.
Our disagreements with those in positions of power usually only occur after we have directly suffered the death or suffering of a loved one. The main message of Satish Kaushik’s film is this. Satish Kaushik plays Sushil Rastogi, a clerk in the water supply department who does all in his power to get justice for his daughter, who sadly dies as a result of the indifference of the police, bureaucratic procedures, and a powerful politician.

Review
After failing to maintain discipline in the Indian Military Academy, Uday Raj Singh (Darshan Kumaar) unexpectedly runs across his estranged father, an elderly lawyer named Raj Narayan (Anupam Kher). He is unwilling to forgive him for leaving him and his mother, Radhika (Neena Gupta), but he changes his mind after witnessing his father defending Mr. Rastogi (the late Satish Kaushik) in court. The latter is pursuing justice relentlessly after losing his only daughter in a sad incident at a political gathering.
The movie frequently verges on being melodramatic, but it avoids it just in time. A case for unoriginal writing is also made by clichés like “demand for justice” videos that go popular on social media and groups of people carrying signs and yelling for justice, but fortunately, there is more to keep you interested. The tunes, on the other hand, are somewhat forgettable, so the same cannot be stated.
The father-son parts, which are handled delicately and sensitively, are where the movie really excels. Both sides’ arguments are compelling to watch, and the courtroom scenes have some excellent writing. Satish Kaushik’s last speech skillfully closes up the story.
The veterans, Satish Kaushik and Anupam Kher, who are accustomed to performing such dramatic parts with aplomb, handle the heavy lifting. Darshan Kumaar portrays a complex character who must confront his feelings for his father, who is alienated from him, and he does it with genuineness. Neena Gupta plays Uday’s mother, Kiran Kumar plays the judge, and Anang Desai plays a politician. All three actors do a good job in their parts.
Anyone who has ever experienced any form of social injustice will undoubtedly find the topic of human rights breaches to be poignant. There are a lot of touching moments in the movie, particularly in the second part, which will definitely make you cry. In addition, this was the final movie starring actor Satish Kaushik. The second is sufficient justification to see the film.
