Jimmy movie 2008 is a Bollywood Hindi-Language thriller film directer is Raj N. Sippy while Producer are Nawman Malik, Salman Malik under banner of High Definition Motion Pictures

The film is launchpad for the the son of Mithun Chakraborty, Mimoh Chakraborty (Mahakshay Chakraborty) with other leading cast are Vivana Singh,Rahul Dev,Prithvi,Vikas Anand.

Jimmy movie have release on 9th May, 2008 with high expectations, but with mostly negative critics reviews and also it was a box office disaster. It was a remake of 1974 movie Majboor. The film got delayed release by 2 – 3 years.

During the film’s release Mithun Chakraborthy had said that Mimoh is great dancer then him but in acting he needs to prove himself.

Story of the film :

A young woman’s body in cold blood is recovered by the assistant commissioner of police (Rahul Dev) at night. All the evidence (including a purse) where the girl’s body was found point to Jimmy (Mimoh Chakraborty) as the killer. To everyone’s surprise, including his girlfriend and mother, he confesses to the crime of killing Rithu Bhatnagar to Rahul Dev in the police station.

Jimmy works as a DJ at night in the local dance club and also An automobile mechanic by profession and a dance heartthrob of everyone in the city, He work double duty to pay off the debts left behind by his late father. Jimmy owns up to the murder and is sentenced to death.

Why would a young man on the threshold of life commit such a heinous crime? What is the real motive behind it? Only Jimmy knows the truth, if he is not the murderer, then he knows who is.

In a sudden twist of fate, Jimmy realizes in jail that he has been drawn into a vicious conspiracy. But it is too late for him? What follows is a spine-chilling suspense thriller that unfolds in this fast-paced saga of crime, deceit and murder.

This film reviews are mostly negative from critics, Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama gave 1.5 star from 5 star and stated that “The film is a poor show all the way. The script disappoints, not the star-kid. The film may not have a future, but the star-kid does!”
