Imran Khan Biography

Imran Khan (born Imran Pal; January 13, 1983) is an American actor with Indian ancestry who mostly works in Hindi cinema. He is the nephew of actors Aamir Khan and Mansoor Khan, as well as the grandson of filmmaker and producer Nasir Hussain. In the 1988 and 1992 motion pictures Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, he made appearances as a kid artist.

2008 saw Khan make his big screen debut in the critically and commercially successful love comedy Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na. Early life and background

On January 13, 1983, in Madison, Wisconsin, the United States, Imran Khan was born Imran Pal. His parents are psychologist Nuzhat Khan and software engineer Anil Pal. A Bengali immigrant from Kolkata who wed a British lady was Imran’s grandpa. Bengali Hindu Imran’s father studied under Mansoor Khan at IIT Bombay and is currently employed as a senior manager at Yahoo in California. Imran’s mother is a Muslim from a family in the film industry; she is the sister of filmmaker and producer Mansoor Khan, a cousin of actor Aamir Khan, and the daughter of director and producer Nasir Hussain. Imran Khan was born into American citizenship.

When Khan was still a toddler, his parents had divorced, and his mother then relocated to Mumbai. Khan referred to Raj Zutshi, his stepfather, as the father figure in his formative years in an interview. He attended Bombay Scottish School, where he endured canings and other physical punishments. Khan said that as a result of his incapacity to adjust to his new surroundings and drastically altered family circumstances, he began to stutter, lost academic standing, and had a “strong decline” in his academic career. He also acquired facial tics and became anxious.

His mother chose Blue Mountain School in far-off Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, for him to attend boarding school as it was more convenient that way. Following a depressive phase, Khan adapted and flourished in Coonoor; he subsequently characterized his time there as “phenomenal,” despite his persistently low grades. Khan and a few other pupils followed the school’s principal, who moved to a Gurukul in Ooty’s forests to open his own school. Students had to wash their clothes in a creek, grow some of their own food, and attend a new school without power.Khan subsequently acknowledged that his repeated school transfers had made him both autonomous and a recluse.

After that, Khan relocated to Sunnyvale, California, where he attended Fremont High School and lived with his father. After graduating, he proceeded to Los Angeles to study filmmaking at the New York Film Academy’s Los Angeles branch, with the goal of becoming a film director. Inspired by novelist Roald Dahl, Khan studied directing, writing, and cinematography.He entered the fields of advertising and market research after earning his degree. Acting career

2008–10: Debut and breakthrough

After starting his networking while undergoing training at the acting institution, Khan met writer-director Abbas Tyrewala, who extended an offer for the main part in Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na (2008). Producer Jhamu Sugandh pitched the script to Aamir Khan, who agreed to fund the movie when they ran into financial difficulties. Khan received favorable reviews in 2011 for his performance in the English-language dark comedy Delhi Belly, directed by Abhinay Deo. He was cast as Tashi, a journalist who gets entangled in the pursuit of jewels that he and his roommates, Kunaal Roy Kapur and Vir Das, are erroneously taking. The gems are being smuggled for a criminal leader in Delhi. The movie made over 550 million (US$6.9 million) in domestic income after opening to critical and commercial success. In Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Khan starred, a romantic comedy directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, later that year. With nearly 578 million (US$7.2 million) in domestic revenues, it was a box office triumph with mixed-to-good reviews. Khan portrayed Kush Agnihotri, a guy who develops feelings for Katrina Kaif and Ali Zafar, respectively, the brides of his brothers. Critics liked his portrayal; Sonia Chopra of Sify described him as “instantly likable”.

In Shakun Batra’s feature film debut, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (2012), starring Kareena Kapoor, Khan played the stiff architect Rahul Kapoor. Two strangers who got married one night after becoming wasted are the subject of this romantic comedy-drama, which is set in Las Vegas. Khan was a year and a half old when his parents got divorced. After thereafter, his mother wed the actor Raj Zutshi; the two separated in 2006. Khan claims that they stayed friendly and that he believed his three parents were there for him. Since his mother reared him alone, he took on his mother’s surname as a memorial to her. The actor resides in the Mumbai neighborhood of Pali Hill with his family.

At the age of 19, Khan started dating Avantika Malik, the niece of Network18 Group founder Raghav Bahl and the daughter of Vandana Malik.
