Story Of The Film :

Life is not always like the movies. Love isn’t always at first sight. Very often, a relationship develops slowly and it takes many years between “boy meets girl” and “boy gets girl”. Hum Tum is a refreshing look at the eternal battle of the sexes as it follows the lives of Karan (Saif Ali Khan) and Rhea (Rani Mukerji). Karan is a cartoonist and his character “Hum” and “Tum” reflect his perspective on the strange love-hate relationship between men and women. Rhea is sensitive, well bred and self-confident. She can give as good as she gets and is not afraid of standing up to men. Initially, the two have very little in common. But, as life would have it, their paths keep crossing and, over the course of a decade, their relationship evolves, from hate to mutual respect, friendship and finally – In a cinematic universe that offers simplistic scenarios to the complex relationship between men and women. Hum Tum is a novel look at the trials and tribulations of “every man” and “every woman” …

Hum Tum Movie Review :

The storyline is inspired from When Harry Met Sally, but the indianised version with a few foreign cities thrown in is a good entertainer. Karan, a cartoonist, meets Rhea on a flight to New York. They get well acquainted during a 6 hour stop over in Amsterdam. They have a fall out and they end up going their separate ways once they get to New York. Their chance meetings over then next few years and how their friendship develops gradually over time and how they end up falling in love without even realizing it forms the gist of the story. Saif Ali Khan fits Karan’s role perfectly and Rani makes a wonderful Rhea. Even the supporting cat has done a great job. The use of the cartoon characters Hum and Tum in the story narrative adds some color to the movie. It is a welcome change from the cop flicks that have dominated the Indian screen in 2004. All in all, a wonderful movie, worth watching at least once on the big screen.

This film review are Mostly Positive from Critics, IMDB Public Reviewing site give 7.0 Star Out Of 10 Star with Reviewers are 13006.

Critics Rating by Taran Adarsh, from Bollywood Hungama give 2.5 star out of 5 Star.
