The film leading star cast are Prabhu Deva, Tamannaah,Sonu Sood, RJ Balaji . Originally a Tamil film, At the same time shot and released in Telugu as a Abhinetri and Hindi as a Tutak Tutal Tutiya; The all three had a worldwide release on 7 October 2016.
In an interview, Prabhu Deva claimed that he found it amusing that he had to give his lines three times, once in Hindi, once in Tamil and once in Telugu for the three different versions of the film. The film is heavily inspired from 1985 fantasy/comedy flick ‘Maxie’

Tutak Tutak Tutiya movie was simultaneously filmed in Telugu as Abhinetri and in Tamil as a Devi film respectively.
Sequel :
After the success of Tutak Tutak Tutiya / Devi /Abhinetri, the producers announced to make a sequel, named Devi 2/Abhinetri 2. The regular shooting progressed in Mauritius with Tamannaah, Prabhu Deva, RJ Balaji, and Saptagiri reprising their roles.
