The film was officially declared with a motion poster on 23 June 2021 by Sajid Nadiadwala, to be directed by Sameer Vidwans and starring Kartik Aaryan. The title was originally named to be Satyanarayan Ki Katha which was later changed to Satyaprem Ki Katha due to controversy.
Casting
Kartik Aaryan was selected to play the lead role, in his first time working with Sajid Nadiadwala. It was later news that Kiara Advani is cast with Kartik Aaryan, in their second film after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022). Her casting in the film was confirmed in July 2022.
Film Shooting
The first shooting schedule started on 3 September 2022 & in just 1 month, the film was completed on 6 October 2022.
