Sadak 2 is an Bollywood Action-drama film directer is Mahesh Bhatt and producers Are Mukesh Bhatt under their banner Vishesh Movie. The Movie is the sequel to the 1991 film Sadak. The sequel stars Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt, and Aditya Roy Kapur. The Movie marks Mahesh Bhatt’s return as a director after 20 years.

The Movie is about Ravi’s depression and how he helps a young woman’s encounter with a godman, who is out to expose this fake guru running an ashram. The shooting began on 18 May 2019, and the Movie was shot in Ooty, Mumbai, Mysore and Uttarakhand. It is scheduled to release on 10 July 2020, Due to Covid19 Lock-down effect theater are closed so the film will be released digitally on Hostar- Disney Plus App.

Father Mahesh Bhatt will be directing first time daughter Alia Bhatt. Pooja Bhatt is working as a Comeback role with Her Father Movie who also worked in Sadak 1 film.

The film picks up where Sadak left off, revolving around the journey with a young girl who becomes an important character in the life of the protagonist, and the reason for him to stay alive.

Sadak 2 Movie – Production :

The Movie was announce on 20 September 2018 by Alia Bhatt on Twitter, where She revealed the details of the Movie. On 8 April 2019, it was confirmed that the movie principal photography will commence in middle of May 2019.

On 19 May 2019, Makarand Deshpande was confirmed to play the main antagonist in the Movie. Alia Bhatt joined the filming from 21 May 2019. The first schedule of the Movie was completed in the third week of May in Mumbai. The second schedule began in Ooty in mid July 2019.

On 20 September 2018, the first teaser of the Movie was released on Instagram by Alia Bhatt, incidentally it marked the seventieth birthday of the director Mahesh Bhatt.

The Movie was initially scheduled for release on 25 March 2020, but was pushed to 10 July 2020.The film will release on 28th August, 2020 on Disney and Hotstar app.
Sushant Singh Rajput was approached for the film and was keen to do it at one point .But later Aditya Roy Kapur was signed for the role. After the unfortunate demise of Sushant Singh Rajput Sadak 2 faced a lot of negative publicity, people showed their displeasure on various social media, they are hell-bent on not watching the film.
