The film Story :
Joginder Singh (Raaj Kumar) is a honest and resolute Police Commissioner. He his wife Sunaina (Shabana Azmi) in the two sons Vijay (Anil Kapoor) and Rakesh (Mohnish Behl) and daughter Jyoti. One day Rakesh take in Kalicharan (Suresh Oberoi) henchman of the under world kingpin Alexander (Danny Denzongpa). He is broken when he learns of Kalicharan’s release after his son’s appeal. this is not enough, Alexander himself in the trapped by police and the anger against Singh reaches its climax. Alexander goes free on bail, abducts and attack Jyoti. the Singh is inform by Kalicharan’s son about the tragedy he kills a man at the scene of tragedy thinking him to be responsible.
