Diljale Movie Story

Radhika (Sonali Bendre) is presented to Army Captain Ranvir (Parmeet Sethi) in the beginning of the movie by her father, Raja Saab (Shakti Kapoor), a former monarch and current politician. Raja Saab assures her that she will have a good spouse in the Captain. News of a terrorist attack in a nearby village, spearheaded by the terrorist Shaka (Ajay Devgn), breaks on the day of the battle. With a sizable contingent, Ranvir and Raja Saab depart for that village. However, that proves to be a ploy when Shaka shows up at the engagement location and sets fire to the wedding mandap.

After a lengthy moment of staring, Radhika gives him a hateful look and walks away. Shabnam (Madhoo), his boss Dara (Amrish Puri), and the rest of his gang are waiting for Shaka when he arrives to his hideout. Dara greets him and identifies him as Diljale. He is loved by Shabnam (Madhoo), but Shaka rejects her attempt to embrace him.

After Shaka visits his mother (Farida Jalal), a flashback of Shaka’s story is revealed. Originally named Shyam, Shaka was the son of a local village leader and a patriotic college student. They both fall in love, and Radhika attends the same college. Shyam’s father rallies the entire community against Raja Saab when he attempts to take over all of the land.

After receiving a bribe from Raja Saab, a local police officer (Gulshan Grover) falsely accuses Shyam’s father of being a terrorist and murders him during a confrontation. Raja Saab, who is aware of their affair and believes it is beneath his family’s dignity, paints Shyam as a terrorist and attempts to have him killed when Shyam visits his house to get revenge. Radhika, who only witnesses Shyam threatening her father, scolds him and labels him a terrorist after he manages to flee. Heartbroken, Shyam becomes Shaka and joins Dara’s group. Back in the present, Ranvir encircles Shaka at his mother’s house, but Shaka’s warriors outnumber him. Shaka requests that he go.

Then, Ranvir approaches Radhika and inquires as to if she is acquainted with Shaka from before. She denies knowing Shaka under Raja Saab’s persuasion.

Four of Dara’s companions are taken prisoner by the soldiers. Dara wants Shaka, Shabnam, and a few others to take over a bus leaving Vaishno Devi in order to rescue them. Shaka is horrified to discover Radhika, who had gone to Vaishno Devi to pray for Shaka, among the hostages when he catches them and takes them to a destroyed temple. He never loved her or the nation, she tells him when she confronts him.

Feeling hurt, Shaka confesses to her that he sacrificed everything for her. She then assures him that if he loves her, he will release everyone because they are innocent. On the understanding that she will stay with him, he consents. Shaka disarms Shabnam and the others, frees the prisoners, and flees with Radhika when they attempt to halt this release. Dara wants to kill Shaka because she is furious over this treachery. He is met by Raja Saab, who orders him to murder Shaka and free Radhika. Dara consents, but demands that Raja Saab securely accompany his entire party to Pakistan and that his four associates be freed.

In the meantime, Shaka disarms the dishonest policeman who killed Shyam’s father and attempts to kill him. The policeman reveals the truth to Radhika in order to protect himself, and she is astounded to learn how deeply Shaka loves her. After killing the policeman, Shaka is taken prisoner by Dara’s soldiers. They are both placed under lock and key by Dara, but Shabnam lets Shaka go. Dara instructs his soldiers to assassinate Shaka when Shaka confronts him and begs him not to surrender his country to politicians like Raja Saab.

Dara instructs his soldiers to assassinate Shaka when Shaka confronts him and begs him not to surrender his country to politicians like Raja Saab. At that moment, Dara and his men are attacked by the army. Shaka and Shabnam are pursuing Raja Saab, Dara, and his men as they flee with Radhika in their possession. Ranvir discovers the truth about Shyam and Raja Saab after discovering his son hidden in a corner.

They need assistance crossing the border, Dara informs his Pakistani Intelligence handler. The Pakistanis choose to mine the border crossing and murder Dara and his men because some Americans are crossing the border and Pakistan does not want to be seen aiding terrorists.

The final border outpost is reached by Dara, Raja Saab, and others. To help Dara and his men escape, Raja Saab goes to speak with the post officer. However, Shaka has already arrived and is in the office, waiting for him. Dara and his men flee after he murders Raja Saab. Shabnam kills two of Dara’s men who attempt to murder Radhika and saves her. Shabnam takes Radhika to Shaka, but Ranvir confronts them all. He apologizes and admits the truth to Shaka, but he will still have to take him into custody.

Shaka concurs, but he feels that Dara and his men still have good intentions, so he wants to prevent them from crossing the border. After Ranvir consents, they drive a snowmobile to the border and arrive ahead of Dara and his troops. They are apprehended by Pakistani soldiers after witnessing them plant mines.

Since they can always produce new terrorists, the Pakistani general informs them that they wish to kill Dara and his men. After killing them all, Shaka and Ranvir head for the border. Ranvir stops Shaka when he tries to stop Dara and his men, telling him to let the terrorists die.

Shaka claims that rather than killing terrorists, he wants to destroy terrorism. Dara feels it’s a ruse when he yells at her to stop. Shaka is blasted after leaping at one of the mines. Startled, Dara orders his soldiers to halt. When Shaka awakens in the hospital, his mother, Radhika, and Ranvir are with him. Dara, Shabnam, and everyone else are waiting when Ranvir leads him outside. Dara gives him a hug, says she’s sorry, and acknowledges that love is stronger than hate, even terrorism. They have all given up, he claims. Shabnam also says goodbye to him. With the Tiranga in the background, Shyam and Radhika embrace.
