Story of the film
Jamuna and her stepmother, who is widowed, live in poverty in Gangapur. She is sold to prostitutes when she reaches marriageable age, where Jamuna is imprisoned and made to sing and dance against her will. One day, she escapes and rescues Raju and Debu, two refugee twins, and brings them to Bandra, Bombay, where their father, Jagdish Sharma, is suffering from cancer. Despite not getting married, Jagdish and Jamuna develop a friendship. Following Jagdish’s death, Jamuna raises the twins despite numerous challenges.
The twins have grown up throughout the years. Raju works in a manufacturing facility. Debu works as a physician. Raju develops feelings for Shikha, his boss’s daughter. Kiran has captured Debu’s heart. After meeting both girls, Jamuna gives them her approval. Then, when she confronts one of her former customers, Jagmohan, who is Shikha’s father, and her madam owner Telanbai, who is Kiran’s mother, she receives a terrible visit from her past. In addition to battling to survive these challenges, Jamuna now has to face other life-altering choices, such as dying and the lies that followed, choices she might live to regret.

Movie Review
