Haseena Parkar movie Story:
This movie story starts with court case on 22 May 2007, at the Sessions Court of Mumbai. A large crowd of media and civilians has gathered outside the court. Five taxis carrying a burqa-wear woman with relatives arrive at the court. Khalid (Navdeep Tomar), the trusted right-hand man of Haseena Parkar take them to the courtroom. The judge asks Haseena to come in the stand and show her identity. Gradually, all the women lift their covering and reveal themselves. Here, the hearing starts.
Now film story goes back to early life where Haseena Parkar (Shraddha Kapoor) lives with her close to dozen brothers and sisters in a small house in central Mumbai. She is mainly close to one of her brothers, Dawood Ibrahim (Siddhanth Kapoor), who as he grows up leads to crime.
Haseena marries the lovely man Ibrahim Parkar (Ankur Bhatia) but finds herself drive to bear the impact of her brother’s actions. As her brother become big in the underworld crime world, his enemies also increase overtime. One of the enemies remove Ibrahim Parkar as revenge. On the other hand, the 1993 serial bomb blasts in Mumbai send shock waves to India and her family. Dawood Ibrahim become as one of the key man in this horrible crime. As he get away to Dubai, pressure come to Haseena who falls into trouble.
Haseena understand that she can no longer be a victim. She hits back and become as Aapa (older sister) in Mumbai’s male-dominated underworld (the Godmother of Nagpada). Haseena countenance 88 cases of extortion in which she is named as part of her brother’s infamous D-Company. She shows her innocence and how she was a nervous new bride who was gradually become to turn into the Godmother of Nagpada. As Keswani and Public Prosecutor Roshni Satam (Priyanka Setia) carry on argue the case, the judge becomes as sympathetic towards the life and story of Haseena Parkar.

Pre-post Production and release
Initially Sonakshi Sinha was first choice of Haseena Parkar but her busy schedule she refused to do the film. Then Siddhanth Kapoor and Ankur Bhatia were casted in to play the role of Dawood Ibrahim and Ibrahim Parkar respectively. So Shraddha Kapoor was casted in October 2016 to play both the young and old role of Haseena Parkar.
Film shooting started at the end of 2016. The shooting started with the song “Bantai”. The film goes to promotions in August 2017 and was released on 22 September 2017.
Initially, Apoorva Lakhia want to make a biopic on Dawood Ibrahim, which topic that was taken already by many directors. For research, he visited the family of Dawood’s sister Haseena, and during that time he met Haseena parker. He was surprise with her life story and decided to make a biopic on her. Film shooting started in October 2016 and wrapped within 10 months.
