Waj taj movie Story :
Tukaram Marathe (Shreyas Talpade), his wife Sundari (Manjari Fadnis) and their daughter have make claim to the land on which Taj Mahal builds. Tukaram says the land belonged to his ancestors and demands it back. His claim is also highlighted by the media and this puts the authorities in action.
The jail minister Visarjan Yadav (Hemant Pandey) is sent to settle things out but he conditions even worse. Tukaram and Sundari are not interested in settle down and sit on a hunger strike on the Yamuna plains.
Repeated attempts from Yadav and the Chief Minister yield no results and the matter goes to court. Here, Tukaram is asked to present proof of his claim. He presents letters from mughal Emperors Humayun and Akbar addressed to his ancestors and after testing, it appears that the letters are authentic. Till the matter is in court, Tukaram asks for the Taj Mahal to be shut down for tourists.
After much consulting, Tukaram and Sundari make a deal with the government. They ask to be given land elsewhere in the country for farming. This demand is granted but the problem doesn’t end there. The land they randomly select, belongs to a big industrialist who is not willing to let go off it. Unable to arm-twist the government, the industrialist hires a killer to finish Tukaram.

The film shooting done mainly in Agra and Bhopal with a short schedule in Mumbai. The shooting was completed in June, 2013 & was earlier stated for a release towards late 2013.

Review of the film :
Mihir Bhanage from Times of India critics gave 2.5 star from star and stated that “however, is a film that has its heart in the right place but nothing new to offer. A few scenes, like the one in the courtroom, stand out in this otherwise average attempt. You can risk watching it once.”
Raja Sen from rediff.com gave only 1 and half star from 5 star and stated that “The film is an amateur attempt at satire”
