Yamla Pagla Deewana Movie is an 2011 Indian Bollywood Hindi action comedy Film directer is Samir Karnik, Starring are Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, and Bobby Deol in the Main roles.The film marks the second pair-up between the Deol family, after their last sports hit, Apne (2007). The film’s title is inspired from the song “Main Jat Yamla Pagla Deewana” from the 1975 film, Pratigya also starring Dharmendra. The theatrical trailer of the film unveiled on 5 November 2010, whilst the film released on 14 January 2011, and received good response upon release. It turned out to be a box office hit.
It is the first installment of Yamla Pagla Deewana film series and the 11th highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2011. Mukul Dev received the 7th Amrish Puri Award, for excellence in acting for his role in the film.

Story of The Film :
The film begins in Canada, travels to Banaras and eventually makes its way to Punjab. The Father Son duo of Dharam Singh and Gajodhar Singh (Dharmendra and Bobby Deol) are the biggest conmen in Banaras. Their happy go lucky existence involves drinking and pulling off hilarious cons on unsuspecting people. The only hitch in their perfect albeit notorious life arrives in the form of Paramveer Singh Dhillon (Sunny Deol). A brawny and honest NRI from Vancover, Paramveer lands up in Banaras claiming to be Gajodhar’s elder brother separated at childhood. The duo willingly accepts Paramveer into their fold only to exploit his muscle power to serve their con games. Meanwhile Gajodhar falls in love with Saheba (Kulraj Randhawa), a beautiful Sardarni from Punjab. As their romance reaches its peak, her brothers arrive and forcibly take her away. Paramveer saves the day with a crazy plan to win the girl back for Gajodhar which leads them to the rustic heartlands of Punjab. What follows is a …
Production :
The film shooting started in February 2010. Director Samir Karnik along with the lead cast of Dharmendra and Sunny Deol started shooting in Varanasi in April 2010. The shooting was disrupted twice, first in March, due to the hospitalisation of Dharmendra, and then in July, when Sunny Deol faced back problems while filming an action sequence.

Best comedy film..as it has got everything they promised..action..drama..comedy and lot of confusion..sunny plays it perfect..and dharmendra doing very well too..bobby performs quite well too..Kulraj is sexy and cute..and everybody plays their part good. Rahul Dev should act more..he was good and drunken brother..anupam kher lights up the screen..sucheta khanna is good too..as a desperate girl to go to CANEDA..lol..music is good too..I loved title track and chadha de rang.. A must watch family entertainer movie..Definitely recommended!!!! very good movie please go and watch samir karnik did good direction.. really loved it totally..

Sequel :
The sequel was announced after the success of the original, and the project began filming in September 2012. The first look of the film was also unveiled after its first schedule was completed also in September 2012. The sequel features the trio of Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol reprising their roles, with Neha Sharma and debutant Kristina Akheeva as female leads. Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 released on 7 June 2013, and received mixed to negative response. The third installment of the series was released on 31 August 2018 reprising the original lead male actors and Kirti Kharbanda as actress. The film generally received negative reviews and was a box office disaster.
