Love Story 2050 Movie is a 2008 Bollywood science fiction-romance Film,the film starring producer are Pammi Baweja and director Harry Baweja’s son Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra.Some parts were filmed in Adelaide, Australia. Initially the film was supposed to release on 21 December 2007 but got postponed to 4 July 2008 due to extensive post-production work. The premiere was held on 2 July 2008 in London.
The film draws a lot of similarity to the 1991 Telugu film Aditya 369; while the Telugu film dealt with travel to the past as well as dystopian post-apocalyptic future, Love Story 2050 was exclusively about travelling to a utopian future-city of Mumbai in the year 2050. It is the first utopian time travel film of Bollywood. The movie was released on 4 July 2008 and performed poorly at the box office.

Story of The Film :
Tells the story about Karan, a young, spirited, sporty boy who lives life off the rules and Sana, a young petite, shy girl who lives life by the rules. This develops into a magical love story. Karan’s uncle, Dr. Yatinder Khanna’s much developed time machine finally works. Sana expresses her wish to travel ahead in time to Mumbai in the future. We land in Mumbai 2050 in the time machine… along with Uncle Yatinder, Rahul and Thea (Sana’s younger brother and sister). Flying cars, 200 storey buildings, robots and sky rails have changed the very face of Mumbai. Through a series of twists and turns, the time traveler Karan finds himself separating from his love. QT, a friendly femme robot and Boo, a small robotic teddy bear play their distinct roles in bringing their love story together but soon find themselves under the threat of the demi-god of the future, Dr. Hoshi. Will Karan be able to overcome the threat of Dr. Hoshi and win his love and travel back in time?
Production :
Initially, when Love Story 2050 was announced in 2004, Kareena Kapoor had signed on to play Priyanka’s role, for which she was reportedly paid Rs.30 million. Kapoor later opted out in 2006 saying she had some date problems and was replaced by Chopra. Love Story is Bollywood’s first futuristic film and had 1200 special effect shots The budget – Rs.600 million – was high for an Indian movie that time.
The special effects were executed by four international firms. Two special effects houses — Weta Workshop (New Zealand) and John Cox (Brisbane, Australia) — have won an Academy Award for their work on international projects.
Along with lead actors, Harman and Priyanka, a robot was seen playing a major role; viewers also get to see a teddy bear which appears to be more than a toy.
Lead actress Priyanka Chopra played a double role so she coloured her hair twice: once red to portray the girl from future and then again black. The red-haired look is inspired from Harman Baweja’s sister Rowena Baweja’s painting which portrays woman of today and tomorrow. The script of Love Story 2050 inspired her to do the painting.
The first trailer of the film was shown on 21 March 2008 at the premiere of Race. Both lead promoted their film on the shahrukh khans’s show kya aap paanchvi paas se tez hain.
Release :
The film released on 4 July 2008 with 540 plus prints (including 200 digital screens) and approximately 200 prints overseas.

Love Story 2050 Movie Review :
This film review are Mostly Positive from Critics, IMDB Public Reviewing site give 2.6 Star Out Of 10 Star with Reviewers are 2285.
After having high expectations of this movie, as I have with all movies with Priyanka Chopra, I regrettably say that this movie was nothing short of a total FLOP.
Although it is admirable and even courageous of bringing new themes to Bollywood, no director could have possibly done worse than Harry Baweja himself. The bizarre and unique plot left plenty of golden opportunities for Baweja however, instead of directing a good movie, some directors feel the need to show off the miracles of computers and the special effects they can produce.
Despite the terrible directing, this movie was further worsened by Harman Baweja, the actor that has now taken the new role of imitating Hrithik Roshan in any possible way Certainly, my condolences do not go for Hrithik as Harman is no match with his pathetic (sorry, I had to say it) acting skills. Hopefully this will show that being the boyfriend of a famous actress plus the son of a director does not correlate to a successful actor.
Writing this comment, I wonder to myself, should IMDb not have an option of sending a 0 rating? If only they did I can almost guarantee that the rating of this movie would be far low than the highly generous “2.9” I see above me
