Production :

Casting:

Originally Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan were supposed to have cameo appearances, but their numbers were removed due to running time considerations. Urmila Matondkar was the original choice for the titular character and was signed on but opted out for undisclosed reason.

Others :

The scene where Johnny Lever demonstrates different kinds of laughter and makes fun of Shah Rukh Khan while Hrithik Roshan stands next to him, smiling, is an insider joke referring to the Coke wars the two stars had with each other. Hrithik supported Coke, Shahrukh Pepsi. A Pepsi commercial made fun of Hrithik, which created quite some outrage among his fans and was widely reported in the media.

Khalid Mohamed originally wanted to have Ram Gopal Varma direct this movie when he finished the script. Although Karisma Kapoor plays Hrithik Roshan’s older sister in this movie, he is five months older than her in real life. Originally Hrithik Roshan had a very small role. But after Kaho Na Pyar Hain became a blockbuster overnight, Khalid Mohammed panicked. He knew expectations were high because of Hrithik, so he increased his role. Many scenes like his workout, and an extra song were added to suit Hrithk’s new status of a Superstar.

The film was set to be an artistic film. But Khalid Mohammed decided to commercialize the film due to pressure from the distributors. Karishma Kapoor had a dance number added. Johnny Lever park scene was added. More songs were added. Hrithik’s role increased, including his workout and more songs.

Fiza Movie Songs/ Music :

A. R. Rahman was approached to compose music for the film, but he declined citing time constraints. However he agreed to compose one song which became Piya Haji Hali. He later composed for the director’s next, Tehzeeb. For the background score of Fiza, Rahman suggested his associate Ranjit Barot. Barot composed the score and also composed the song Mere Watan, while the rest of the songs were composed by Anu Malik. Fiza Movie Review :

This film review are Mostly Positive from Critics, IMDB Public Reviewing site give 6.1 Star Out Of 10 Star with Reviewers are 3729.

Hrithik Roshan’s second and film critic Khalid Mohamed’s first movie is an art house film with commercial interludes, obviously deemed necessary for box office performance and integrated with various degrees of success. The film suffers and profits at the same time from the 6 song/dance numbers and one prayer. While the prayer is wonderful and convincingly marries the plot with musical and visual elements, providing an esthetic and also emotional highlight of the film, the dance number by Sushmita Sen and the disco number by Karishma Kapoor, although solid and attractive per se, look forced in the context and have little connection to the film’s central themes. The Karishma-Bikram song could be easily edited out at no loss. This is less the case with the Hrithik-Neha sequence which looks and sounds great and adds some desperately needed happiness to an otherwise rather sad sequence of events. And of course it’s the only time Hrithik dances. Cutting this one would probably have caused riots in cinemas.
