Sooryavanshi is an upcoming Bollywood cop base action movie, directer is Rohit Shetty and writer is Yunus Sajawal. This film Producer are Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Apoorva Mehta and Rohit Shetty. It is the fourth film of Rohit’s Police Base movie and leading cast is Akshay Kumar as the lead character with Katrina Kaif as a lead actress.

The film other supporting cast are Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Niharica Raizada, Jackie Shroff, Sikandar Kher, Nikitin Dheer, Vivan Bhatena and Javed Jaffrey, while Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh reprise their roles of Singham film and Simmba film from the franchise’s previous films.

Akshay’s character was announced towards the end of Simmba film that served as a character introduction of Sooryavanshi. He is playing DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, the chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad. This film shooting started in May 2019 and was completed in November 2019. Earlier This movie is releasing on 24 March 2020, the film was indefinitely postponed due to the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic. On 5 March 2019, Movie trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the first look posters of the film on his Twitter account. In the posters, Akshay Kumar was seen in a cop avatar with a gun in his hand.

Film Shooting :

On 26 March 2019, it was announced that Akshay Kumar will shoot the first schedule in Mumbai and the date is 25 April 2019. However, due to taking some time to search for the female lead, the filming was pushed, and principal photography eventually began in Mumbai on 6 May 2019, with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. The schedule was finished on 29 May 2019, and second schedule began on 6 June 2019.The Movie shooting ended on 30 November 2019.

On 5 March 2019, the day when two posters of the film were out, Akshay Kumar and Rohit Shetty announced that they have planned to release the Movie on 22 May 2020, the festival Eid-ul-Fitr. Later, it was announced on 12 June 2019 that the release date of the movie is 27 March 2020.

In April 2021, the release date of film was postponed again indefinitely due to the rise in COVID-19 cases of second wave and 2nd lockdown applied in Maharashtra. Gradually corona cases was reduced and theatres are re-open and film is scheduled to theatrically release worldwide on 5 November 2021 during Diwali Holidays.

Story of the Movie :

The chief of the Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad -DCP Veer Sooryavanshi and his team join forces with Inspector Sangram Bhalerao and DCP Bajirao Singham to stop a terrorist batch planning to attack Mumbai.
