Review of the film :
This film reviews are mostly mix to positive from critics.
Critics reviews :
- Rachit Gupta from Times of India gave 3.5 star from 5 star and stated that “What ‘Parmanu’ lacks in detail and authenticity, it makes up with emotions and a sense of national pride. The narrative isn’t explosive but it does have the dramatic moments to keep the viewer engaged. Thrills, suspense, drama, a little bit of humor, as well as a solid comment on India’s soldiers – this movie, largely has all the tricks to please even a discerning audience.”
- Saibal Chatterjee from NDTV rated the film 1.5 star from 5 star and writes that “Parmanu – The Story of Pokhran is as a flat as a pancake, a hopelessly limp exercise with creaky nucleus that is buried under a mound of forced tropes before it can get going.”
- Lakshana N Palat from India Today gave 2.5 star out of 5 star and writes that “Desh, desh and more desh. That word reverberates more than the nuclear bomb itself, in John Abraham’s Parmanu The Story of Pokhran.”
- Reshu Manglik from Indiatv gave 2 star out of 5 star and mentioned that “Watch the film only if you’re looking forward to a nail-biting thriller, which is too far-fetched and bizarre to be true.”
- Devesh Sharma from filmfare gave 3.5 star out of 5 star and writes that “The film does have minor flaws and loose ends but you kind of gloss over them because of its emotional impact. At the end of the day, you feel proud of the achievements of the nation’s scientists, of our army. India really shone during the time and you want to hold on to that hope, however fragile it may be, that we can achieve wonders if we come together as a nation.”
- Bollywood Hungama rated the film 3.5 star from 5 star and predicted its financial success.
