Early life and education

Aryan Khan was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, on November 12, 1997. The actor Shah Rukh Khan and producer Gauri Khan have an older son named him. One of his younger siblings is the actress Suhana. Khan grew up practicing both Islam and Hinduism, as his parents did. He attended Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai until he was fifteen years old, at which point he went to Sevenoaks School in Kent.

When Khan was younger, he portrayed his father’s character in a scene from the 2001 movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Alongside his father, he provided the voice acting for the Hindi dub of The Incredibles (2004). The USC School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California awarded Khan a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in film and television production in 2020.

Bollywood Career

When Khan and his business associates Bunty Singh and Leti Blagoeva founded Slab Ventures in 2022, they started a premium collective brand called D’yavol, which is derived from the Bulgarian word for devil. They introduced D’yavol Vodka, a premium vodka brand, in collaboration with Anheuser-Busch InBev, a brewing corporation. The following year, D’yavol Inception, a blended malt scotch, was introduced. In 2023, Aryan also introduced D’yavol X, a high-end clothing line. He helmed his first directing project, a brand ad video that starred him and his father.

Simba in The Lion King (2019) was voiced by him. Because his voice sounded too much like his own, Shah Rukh Khan had to redo his lines as Mufasa in The Lion King (2019). In addition to his father and younger brother AbRam, Khan resumed his voice acting career by portraying Simba in the Hindi adaptation of Mufasa: The Lion King (2024).

Khan acted as showrunner, writer, and director of The Ba***ds of Bollywood, a streaming series centered in the Hindi film industry that he produced between 2023 and 2024. Red Chillies Entertainment, which his mother and father produced, will have the film available on Netflix in 2025. The show is co-written and co-created by Manav Chauhan and Bilal Siddiqui, and it stars Lakshya, Bobby Deol, and Sahher Bambba.

In August 2025, Khan joined forces with Radico Khaitan and Shah Rukh Khan to co-found D’Yavol Añejo, a luxury tequila company that plans to launch globally by December at premium prices.

Legal issues

When the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided a purported rave party on a cruise liner on October 3, 2021, Khan and six other people were taken into custody. Khan was taken into custody as part of an investigation into a suspected global drug trafficking conspiracy. He was given bail on October 28, 2021, following four denials of it and 25 days in the Mumbai Central Prison. All allegations against him were dropped in May 2022.

In connection with the case, Sameer Wankhede, one of the investigating officers, was later charged with extortion and corruption. The Central Bureau of Investigation said that the drug allegations were a part of a fraudulent plot to blackmail the Khan family.
