Love Aaj Kal Movie is an 2009 Bollywood Bollywood romantic comedy-drama film, starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in Main roles with Rahul Khanna, Rishi Kapoor and Giselli Monteiro in supporting roles. Rahul Khanna and Neetu Singh also appear in cameo appearances. The film is directer is mtiaz Ali and producer are Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan. The film portrays the feeling of pure love which never changes, although the perspective of realising one’s soulmate has changed over time. It was remade into Telugu as Teen Maar.

Its spiritual successor of the same name, also directed by Ali and starring Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles, was released on 14 February 2020 on Valentine’s Day.

Story of The Film :

London-based Jai Vardhan Singh and Meera Pandit meet, fall in love, and she introduces him to her family. Shortly thereafter, they decide to part as she wants to re-locate to India to restore heritage buildings, while he re-locates to America. Restauranteur Veer Singh attempts to convince Jai to pursue her, as he had pursued Harleen Kaur back in 1965 India, but Jai moves on and falls in love with Caucasian Jo, while Meera is all set to get marry her employer, Vikram Joshi.

Production :

The shooting of the film started in May 2008 and took place at the railway station of Patiala, Red Fort, Purana Qila and on the streets of Delhi. Parts were shot in London, San Francisco, and Kolkata. The building used as Golden Gate, Inc., in the film is actually the rotunda of San Jose City Hall. The film wasn’t given a name until January 2009, after shooting was complete.

Release and Marketing :

The producers of the film agreed to market tie-ups with 2009 ICC World Twenty20, Shoppers Stop and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance. The apparel worn by the lead cast is exclusively available at Shoppers Stop. With Bajaj Allianz, they have a tie-up to share the special moments where they could win a chance to meet Saif Ali Khan, the protagonist and the producer of the movie. The tie-up with the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 was that both Khan and Padukone would be in England before the tournament begins, with Saif expected to commentate on matches for Indian television.

Love Aaj Kal Movie Songs / Music :

The music of Love Aaj Kal was composer is Pritam and Salim-Sulaiman with the former composing songs and latter the score. The lyrics for songs were penned by Irshad Kamil, and the remixes created by DJ Sanj. The album earned Pritam his first IIFA Best Music Director Award.

Pritam revealed in a 2014 interview that Imtiaz Ali wanted A. R. Rahman to compose the music of the film, but the latter was available only for his next, Rockstar.

This film review are Mostly Positive from Critics, IMDB Public Reviewing site give 6.8 Star Out Of 10 Star with Reviewers are 14811.

Hi, This is the third movie from Imtiaz Ali’s Direction. I didn’t like this movie as his earlier movies. Still i am giving this movie 7 out of 10 because of very good performances of Saif, Deepika, Harleen & other characters but for direction i will give him 10 out of 10.

As earlier Imtiaz’s movies have lot of comic & funny moments this has very little comic scenes & a lot is focused on Romance. So if you like romantic movies, don’t wait & go for it.

There is nothing much about the story as it is simple love story a boy & girl in love but didn’t realize it. But the most important thing is the combination of two similar stories of different times at very best.

At the end it is a good movie will beautiful performances….
