Yeshwant movie story
Nana Patekar plays Inspector Yeshwant Lohar, a plainclothes police detective. Yeshwant wants his wife, Ragini (Madhoo), to focus on her academics in order to become an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) member.
In order to apprehend Salim Shaikh, a drug dealer, Yeshwant goes undercover as a beggar (Mohan Joshi). Salim is imprisoned, and Chopra, Lohar’s supervisor, supposedly gives him praise. But Chopra is actually Salim’s paymaster, and he is crooked. Chopra has Lohar imprisoned and frames him for murder.
In the meantime, Ragini becomes a Deputy Collector after being chosen as an IAS. She informs Salim that she is keeping a tight eye on him because she believes he is framing her husband. Alarmed, Salim attempts to keep quiet to Ragini. Rejecting his offers of bribes, she flees from the goons Salim recruited to threaten her.
Salim schemes to discredit Ragini. Since she has been attacked, he designates Ragini’s longtime friend John Frank (Atul Agnihotri) as her police protector. Salim then disseminates claims that they were having a love affair, backed up by fictitious images of Frank and Ragini in an intimate setting. She gets reprimands from the womanizing minister, who also wants to give her a hug. After showing the images to Yeshwant, who shuns Ragini on their visits, Salim distributes them to the media, damaging Ragini’s reputation.
After being freed from prison, Yeshwant approaches Ragini. She begs him to think she is dependable. Yeshwant goes on a murdering rampage after becoming infuriated. While Salim is involved in an illicit drug trade, he murders Salim’s partners and then kills Salim. Now that Salim’s transgressions are known, Yeshwant is exonerated.
