Story of the film
When their activist mother passes away under strange circumstances, the two boys’ aspirations to become football stars take a terrible turn. Will their aspirations to play professional football also come to an end, as the loss causes a conflict of principles, and how will each handle the tragedy?
Despite their devotion to one another and shared goal of athletic success, Julio (Harshvardhan Rane) and Regalo Miranda (Meezaan Jafri) differ in their personalities and values. Regalo is level-minded, responsible, and compassionate, while Julio, a hot-headed young guy, is involved with a local drug gang commanded by Morocho (Rahul Dev). Their affection for one another and their mother, Susan Miranda (Manasi Joshi Roy), binds them together despite their differences. The brothers must decide if they can make amends, rekindle their dreams, or face an uncertain future after her unexpected and inexplicable death, which was caused by her brave opposition to a local minister’s plans for deforestation, shattering their tie.
The narrative of the Sanjay Gupta-directed film is mainly adrift. The main theme is loss, how the brothers—who have completely different personalities—deal with it, and how football affects their lives. But none of these are given any credit in the film, and each topic is only briefly mentioned.
There is a great deal of potential to show how vulnerable each character is in the face of tragedy, since Regalo, an adopted child who is loyal to his older brother and indebted to him and his mother, and Julio, a rebel, are both bonded by their love for their mother. Nevertheless, this potential is still untapped, which represents a lost chance.
The Miranda Brothers” lacks conviction and focus, wasting its intriguing idea with a lackluster plot, undeveloped characters, and a preference for glitz over depth. In the end, the film’s unrealized potential leaves audiences with a persistent sense of lost chances and uncharted territory.
Production
February 2022 saw the announcement of the movie. The next month, principal photography got underway. Before its completion in April 2022, the majority of the filming took place in Goa.

The song “Pyaar Bhi Jhootha,” which was sung by R. D. Burman in the 1981 movie Zamane Ko Dikhana Hai, is remade for the movie.
