Taanashah is a 2020 Bollywood film based on the life of Shiva Kumar aka Dadua, a dreaded dacoit of Bundelkhand Bundelkhand. Dadua went on to become the most dreaded outlaw with a strangle hold he brutally gained through a period of 30 years. Taanashah was made on a Rs. 4 crore (USD 0.56 million) budget and the entire film was shot in Karwi Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh.
The film was directer is Ritam Srivastav, who was awarded the Official Selection Monthly Edition (August – September) of Debut Filmmaker for Taanashah at the Crown Wood International Film Festival. Producer are Sanjay Malik with Dilip Arya playing a leading role as Dadua, Taanashah also won Best Narrative 2019 at the Virgin Spring Cinefest. the Film releases 7th February 2020

Film Story :
A dreaded dacoit of Bundelkhand, who remained unvanquished for over 20 long years. By the time his reign, an empire built upon brutality and his sheer brilliance ended, Shiva had evolved such a powerful ecosystem that the police, the administration and even the most powerful politicians became subservient to him. Ultimately, it was his own trusted man, who betrayed him and brought about his downfall.

A decent portrayal of the 80s gang war culture
Even before Shiva could wrap his head around the string of murders he had committed out of sheer anger and intense vengeful tendencies, the gullible geezer was already under the wings of the notorious dacoit, Raja Rangoli (Jeetu Shastri), in the lawless land of Bundelkhand. And that burning desire for revenge, coupled with able aid from corrupt government bodies and an army of baaghis (rebels), sends him on a 28-year-long journey of brutality in and around the state of Uttar Pradesh (UP) in the 80s and 90s.
Critics Rating Pallabi Dey Purkayastha , from Times Of India give 2.5 star out of 5 Star.
