Savitri’s intolerance prevents Hema from continuing her dance education. Raju, who plays Dafli and is her father’s former student, paid him a visit.
Raju occasionally makes an effort to lift Hema’s spirits. One evening, Raju helps a woman who is having trouble getting rid of a man. Kusum, the woman, later informs him that she was forced to spend the night with another man by her husband, Prakash. After Hema’s father dies, Savitri throws her out of the house. Raju supports her, and they depart from the village. After discovering that they have been duped, Savitri and Champa return to the city in search of employment.
