Story of the film

Everybody has that one loud, unapologetically inappropriate, no-filter friend who won’t stop bugging you for assistance. Baman Kulkarni is precisely that character in the comedy-drama directed by Sumit Kulkarni. After two failed ventures, he is in a difficult situation and desperately needs Rs 15 lakhs for his new venture. But because Baman already owes his boyhood friend Akhil (Shyamraj Patil) Rs 18 lakhs, the latter cautions their other friend, Karan Mehta (Sanjay Bishnoi), against lending him money. A humorous interaction takes place when Baman extends an invitation to stay at Karan’s residence. The story deftly explores the themes of friendship and how growing older often causes childhood friends to drift apart.

The film, written by Vijaysinh Thopte, focuses on situational comedy and repartee, demonstrating the writer-director team’s ability to keep the audience entertained. There are no intricate layers, and the story is simple. The film is quick to watch at just 102 minutes; however, there are moments when the pacing falters. There are moments when the main plot, which centers on Baman’s persistent efforts to get a loan from Karan, becomes monotonous.

Tracks like Baman deceiving two passengers into handing him money after they think he’s a cab driver, Karan’s housekeeper, and More’s (Gaurav More) uncertainty about the nature of their relationship are all hilarious. The humor is further enhanced by Mohini (Vidya Malavade), Karan’s wife, and her arguments with her mother-in-law. Viewers will undoubtedly connect with nostalgic moments, such as when friends reminisce about their school days through relatable conversation.

The focus is still on Sharib Hashmi’s outstanding portrayal of Baman, who effortlessly handles both emotional conversation and profanity-filled banter. Hashmi is charming and funny, and she owns every scene. Sanjay Bishnoi depicts a wealthy businessman who must choose between protecting himself from Baman and being a kind friend. As the irate Akhil, who is too eager to impart life lessons to his son, Shyamraj Patil does a good job. Gaurav More and Vidya Malavade both give excellent performances.

Even though the story follows a well-known path and has cliched parts, particularly in the direction of its easy and unimpressive conclusion, the outstanding performances and hilarious situations guarantee that it will still be a fun one-time viewing.
