Story Of The Movie :

In a small scenic town in India there are two schools, Valley High School, which basically caters to the affluent, and Bharti High School for the middle-class. The annual sports fest has always been dominated by the Valley High students, with Kabir Mukherjee winning the coveted race for many years, and after his tenure gets over, Ranveer Pratap Singh takes over. Now this year, Ranveer’s championship status is being challenged by Bharti High’s Dev, who is also fallen head over heels in love with Ranveer’s girlfriend, Sanjana, ignoring romantic overtures from the lovely fellow student, Suhana. The stage is all set for the annual sports as participants, their respective families, and the general public await to see who the all-round winner will be this year.

Production:

Rok Sako To Rok Lo was the directorial debut for Arindam Chaudhuri.According to him, “The central theme is friendship”. He also mentioned that it would show how “the principal of management can help reduce wastage of money in the film industry.” The film was one out of 50 different stories which he worked on. The cast had mostly teenage debutants, while established actors like Tikku Talsania, Archana Puransingh, Anjan Srivastva, Rakesh Bedi, Tinu Anand and Rajit Kapoor played supporting roles. To choose a title for the film, Chaudhuri conducted “market research”.

Rok Sako To Rok Lo Movie Review :

After a long time I have seen a film that scores well on all fronts. This film leaves a happy taste behind and creates a great feel good mania.

Acting of all the new comers is commendable and direction very good. Music and lyrics are really nice and so is the story. Best thing about the film is the climax that makes sure you are standing on one feet for entire 15-20 minutes. The confrontation scenes between the two school have a lot of energy and appeal. My nephew saw the film thrice and with his entire gang of friends who are as crazy.

I think Rok Sako to rok lo is one of my all time favorites!
