Paying Guests Movie is an 2009 Indian Bollywood Comedy drama film , it’s starring are Shreyas Talpade, Javed Jaffrey, Aashish Chaudhary and Vatsal Seth in the Main roles. It is directer is Paritosh Painter under Subhash Ghai’s Mukta Arts banner A comedy film revolving around four close friends who reside together in Pattaya, it borrows the basic plot from 1966 comedy movie Biwi Aur Makan, directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee which was also remade in Marathi in 1989 as Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi , in Kannada in 2003 as Olu Saar Bari Olu , in Punjabi in 2014 as Mr & Mrs 420 and in Bengali as Jio Pagla in 2017.

Shooting started in the second week of April 2008. Riya Sen was originally offered Neha Dhupia’s role, Aarti Gupta, but declined and instead chose the role as Jayesh’s melodramatic girlfriend, Alpita. A sequel, Paying Guests 2, is in production and will take place against the backdrop of a beauty pageant.

Story of The Film :

After Bhavesh, Parag, Parikshat, and Jayesh ridicule their Bangkok-based landlord, Kiska Meglani, he evicts them. Broke and with nowhere to go, the hapless foursome decide to pose as couples, with Bhavesh and Parag assuming the guise of voluptuous females, Karishma and Kareena respectively. They find a sympathetic landlord, Ballu Singh, who lets them move in. Subsequently, Jayesh finds employment in an architectural firm and assures his friends that their problems may well be resolved. But before that could happen, Ballu’s wife, Sweety, comes to know that Kareena is pregnant, and the involvement of gangsters who want a signed deed from Ballu at any and all costs.

This film review are Mostly Positive from Critics, IMDB Public Reviewing site give 4.2 Star Out Of 10 Star with Reviewers are 498.

Four comic characters out for an accommodation hunt falls into intricate hurdles. Johnny Lever, the owner puts across a caveat,would only rent the place to couples. The guys give in to the condition laid by the owner and scrambles to materialize their wives. An average film with an average cast.

Johnny Lever never fails to amuse and entertain with his antics. But the tempo of the movie is lost in no time and dips very soon. There are no rib-tickling comedy here folks. Be prepared to get bored soon. An average movie with a below average comedy.

Paritosh Painter seems to have debuted on a slide. Let’s pray his next direction bails him out.

Critics Rating by Taran Adarsh, from Bollywood Hungama give 1.5 star out of 5 Star.
