Story of the film:
The story begins with the introduction of a young boy named Raja (Sanjay Kapoor) who falls in love with a girl named Priya (Urmila Matondkar) when they were both children. Priya moves away with her family, and Raja grows up longing for her. As an adult, Raja decides to pursue his dreams and travels to Mumbai to find Priya.
In Mumbai, Raja struggles to make ends meet and finds himself homeless. He meets a young girl named Lily (Madhuri Dixit), who takes him under her wing and helps him get a job as a singer in a nightclub. Raja soon becomes a popular singer and catches the eye of a wealthy woman named Madhu (Shabana Azmi), who offers to help him make a career in music.
Meanwhile, Raja discovers that Priya is engaged to be married to a wealthy man named Rajesh (Raza Murad). Raja is heartbroken but decides to win Priya’s heart back. He starts sending her letters and gifts, but Priya doesn’t respond. Raja then decides to use his newfound fame to get Priya’s attention. He sings a song dedicated to her on a television show, and Priya sees it. She is moved by Raja’s love for her and decides to meet him.
As Raja and Priya reunite, they face opposition from Rajesh and Madhu. Rajesh tries to use his power and influence to break them apart, while Madhu tries to convince Raja to marry her instead. Despite these obstacles, Raja and Priya remain steadfast in their love for each other.
