Story of the film

Kittu, a Pune-based arts student, is deeply in love with actress and movie sensation Malika. He watches all of her movies, has posters of her up on his wall, and even imagines her to be there with him while he watches these things. Concerned about his son’s failing exam results, Kittu’s father confronts him about his preoccupation and subsequently rips down the posters. As Kittu views this as nearly as horrible as murder, she makes the decision to leave and relocate to Mumbai, where the actress resides.

He goes to her bungalow not knowing where to go, but the security guard shoos him away. He secures employment at a local café. Kittu quickly discovers that Malika is not the girl he had imagined from her movie and poster images after speaking with her. Kittu, a simple orphan who has been taken advantage of by her nasty uncle and his family, starts to feel terrible for her and falls even more in love, but she chooses not to report her uncle’s activities to the police for an unspecified reason.

He eventually chooses to persuade her to flee with him after a sequence of incidents. Due to her status as a well-known symbol, Kittu quickly discovers that leaving is more difficult than he had anticipated. Both her family and the police are searching for her, and after paying Kittu’s family a visit, they are soon assisting Malika in making the most of her newfound freedom.

When Mr. Mathur is arrested for supposedly harboring the “kidnapped” Malika, things become worse. To get information, the police beat Kittu. Malika tells the police that Kittu saved her and that her uncle is the one who had mistreated her when she surrendered herself to the police to save them. After that, the police beat her uncle and took him into custody.

After that, Kittu is left to live with his family and Nisha, who thinks they are in love, while Malika goes back home. When Kittu gets home, she is heartbroken since she abandoned him without saying goodbye or giving him any reason. One day, they pay her a visit and discover that she has gone back to her previous life, sans her uncle. However, this encounter is awkward. During her uncomfortable farewell, Kittu comes to the realization that she thinks Kittu will wed Nisha.

After coming to this insight, he immediately takes off for Malika’s dressing room in the taxi to tell her how much he loves her and that she was mistaken. During their moving discussion on life and love, Malika adds that she believes Nisha and Kittu are in a committed relationship that she is unable to break. He rushes to Nisha to inform her of this belief after she requests him to stop seeing her. Nisha reveals that although she loves Kittu, Kittu has always been in love with Malika after hearing this. To show their love for one another, Malika and Kittu embrace.

The story’s characters, including the cab driver and his café employees, are all present as they tie the knot in the epilogue.
