Review of the film :
This film reviews are mostly positive from critics.
Critics reviews :
- Renuka Vyavahare from Times of India gave 3.5 star from 5 star and stated that “Irrfan khan gave u feel his anger, pain and guilt. Jimmy Sheirgill, once again plays the honest good cop and fits in perfectly. Tushar Dalvi is competent. overall, his intent deserves an applause as Madaari shames the trend of rising apathy that is often misconstrued as resilience.”
- Sweta Kaushal from Hindustantimes rated the film 2 star out of 5 star and noted that “It’s a guide on how to spoil a film despite perfect ingredients, Madaari crumbles under its own lofty ideals and ambition. The slow pace makes the fall even more painful and enduring. And that it had two brilliant actors in Irrfan and Jimmy, who were grossly under-used, only adds to injury.”
- Shubhra Gupta frim Indianexpress gave 1.5 star out of 5 star and mentioned that “Madaari presents Irrfan in a role that he aces with such ease that it’s hard to see he’s ‘acting’. But he’s placed at the centre of a film which is so patchy and contrived.”
- Critics from Bollywood Hungama gave 2.5 star out of 5 star and stated that “Irrfan Khan, amidst everyone, he is the only actor who stands out in the film. The film (needless to say) rides solely on the shoulders of this powerhouse performer, who, yet again, churns out a decent (but, not splendid) performance with MADAARI. the film has totally no scope for music, the film’s background score is decent and moves in tandem with the film’s story. The film’s cinematography is poor. Even the stock footage that has been used in the film is of extremely poor quality. The film’s editing could have been a lot better. MADAARI film comes across as a thriller which holds your attention only in parts. It lacks consistency and punch and will therefore appeal to a limited set of audience. At the box office, its business prospects will be limited.”
