Kucch Luv Jaisaa Movie is an 2011 Indian Bollywood drama film. Writter and directer is Barnali Shukla, the film stars are Shefali Shah and Rahul Bose. Kucch Luv Jaisaa marks the second film that Bose and Shah have acted in together; they also played a married couple in Aparna Sen’s 15 Park Avenue (2005). Model Neetu Chandra and television actor Sumeet Raghavan are also in the film. The music is by Pritam.

Story of The Film :

Kuchh Luv Jaisa is a story about a house wife, Madhu (Shefali Shah), who gets ditched by her husband (Sumit Raghavan) and kids on her birthday which happens to come once in four years, Feb 29. Now Madhu is left with two options as she can either choose to sit at home and sulk, pity herself for the next four years or reinvent her boring, mundane life into an exciting one and take a grip over it. She eventually decides to head out and enjoy her birthday according to her whims and fancies. She splurges her husband’s money in an unusual way. She shops for clothes, gets a makeover at an expensive parlour and above all buys a car! It is an unusually fun filled day for her until she meets Raghav (Rahul Bose), a criminal on the run who is trying to mingle with the ‘normal’ crowd posing as an undercover agent so that he can escape the cops. A ditzy and happy-go-lucky Madhu runs into Raghav at a coffee shop where he is planning his next move and in this process a casual conversation begins. …

Production :

Shefali Shah’s husband Vipul Amrutlal Shah agreed to serve as the film’s producer as a congratulatory gift to her for winning a National Award for The Last Lear. For her role in Kucch Luv Jaisaa she lost several kilos, dieting and following a strict regimen. She also spent a day in jail with a convicted criminal and talked to his family to get a feel for the role. After rumours of bickering on the set were reported in the press, Shah admitted that she had arguments with Rahul Bose during filming, “but it was nothing serious”. The arguments were later revealed to be over her stay in jail because Rahul Bose was worried for her safety.

Kucch Luv Jaisaa Movie Review :

This film review are Mostly Mix Average from Critics, IMDB Public Reviewing site give 4.2 Star Out Of 10 Star with Reviewers are 123.

Seeing the First Look trailer of this film a few weeks before, I thought it might be a small gem featuring Rahul Bose in a similar kind of role as he had earlier done in CHAMELI and MR & MRS IYER. The film looked like made on the identical plot of Rahul meeting a completely stranger girl one fine day and they spending few hours together with her as a new experience of his life.

Perhaps Rahul may also have realized the resemblance in the story plot himself while reading the script. But still for reasons unknown he said yes to it and therefore, here he is once again meeting an unknown attractive married woman, who has just decided to be herself for one whole day forgetting all about her husband and children. (For the records he earlier met a prostitute one night in CHAMELI and later had met a South Indian Brahmin married women travelling with her child in a bus in MR & MRS IYER.)

Critics Rating by Taran Adarsh, from Bollywood Hungama give 1 star out of 5 Star.
