Keemat is a 1998 Bollywood action film directer is Sameer Malkan and producer brothers Ganesh Jain and Ramesh Jain. It stars Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Raveena Tandon, and Sonali Bendre. Anupam Kher and Ravi Kishen have supporting roles. The film’s singers were Kumar Sanu, Abhijeet, Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam, Anuradha Paudwal, Alka Yagnik, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Alisha Chinai, and Babul Supriyo. “They Are Back” is a veiled reference to an earlier movie, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan.

Story of the film

Ajay and Dev are brothers who work as burglars and scam artists. In addition to being a criminal, Sharmili meets Dev and Ajay at a tavern, takes their wallets, and flees. On the way, she is attacked by some thugs, but Dev and Ajay save her. Sharmili falls in love with Dev because she finds him to be a wonderful man and is fascinated by his fighting prowess. A young man called Mohan Tripathi is then unintentionally killed by Dev and Ajay. Their thoughts are troubled by this, so they look up the deceased’s address and go to his hamlet, Badlapur.

They find out that in order to further his education and become a doctor, Mohan moved to Mumbai. They meet Mohan’s wife, his mother, Sulakshana, a sister, and his father, Dinanath Tripathi, but they are unable to break the bad news to them. Thus, they pretend to be Mohan’s buddies and inform the Tripathis that he is still alive. To help the Tripathis, they choose to remain. Ajay and Mansi, a rural girl, fall in love in this village. After that, Sharmili travels to Badlapur in search of Dev. Dev also develops feelings for Sharmili.

Dev and Ajay discover that a despotic landowner named Bhanu Pratap Singh and his henchmen are terrorizing this area. At any cost, Bhanu Pratap seeks to take the impoverished peasants’ land so he may begin construction. As the narrative progresses, it becomes clear that Bhanu Pratap assassinated his honorable older brother and the village’s original landowner, Thakur Suraj Pratap Singh, along with his wife, in order to take control of all the “zamindari” that had previously existed.

Bhanu Pratap and his troops are opposed by Dev and Ajay. Because there isn’t a hospital in that area and the doctor from the other village arrived late, Mohan’s wife, who is expecting Mohan’s child, passed away during her labor pains. At that point, Dev and Ajay confessed to being responsible for Mohan’s unintentional death and revealed the truth about it to the world. They remain in the village and protect the residents from Bhanu Pratap’s torment when Dinanath drives them out.

Then, with the assistance of avaricious moneylender Lala Wajanlal, Bhanu Pratap learns that Ajay has gambling and drinking addictions, and he chooses to take advantage of this to split the two brothers. He begins to take advantage of the situation by sowing discord and resentment between Dev and Ajay. Ajay begins to lose money after giving in to his gambling desire. He lost all of his money shortly after. In order to continue playing, he embarrasses himself by stealing and selling some of the Tripathis’ gold bangles. When Dev learns of this robbery, the breach between the two brothers that Bhanu had been waiting for starts.

However, it turns out that Ajay’s metamorphosis was part of a larger conspiracy by both Dev and Ajay to trick Bhanu Pratap and gain his trust in order to obtain money for the construction of a hospital in the hamlet, which was also Dinanath’s goal. Bhanu Pratap uses his thugs to assault Dinanath’s family after learning of their plot. They battle the thugs and rescue Dinanath and his family, including his daughter and the impoverished villagers. In the meanwhile, Bhanu Pratap makes it known that he murdered Mohan on purpose by striking him with his automobile, not by accident as Dev and Ajay had claimed. Bhanu Pratap is then killed by Dev. Then everyone joins together.
