Jawan Movie is an upcoming 2023 Bollywood action thriller film, writer and director is Atlee. This is his first Hindi film. This film Producer are Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment.
The movie’s leading star cast is Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role with Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, and Nayanthara. The film’s music composer is Anirudh Ravichander.
This film shooting started in September 2021 with film shooting taking place in Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
Anirudh Ravichander composed the music and background music for the movie, which also included G. K. Vishnu for the cinematography and Ruben for the editing.
Originally planning for release on June 2, 2023, It has been delayed due to unfinished post-production work. It will now release worldwide in theaters on September 7, 2023, which also happens to be Janmashtami.

Synopsis

In late 2019, it was news that Shah Rukh Khan would be planning to work with Tamil leading film director Atlee for his Hindi film debut, and the film was confirmed in 2020.
In May 2021, it was news shows that the film shooting would be started soon.
Gauri Khan is the main producer of the movie through Red Chillies Entertainment, and Gaurav Verma is a co-producer. The project was officially announced by the company on June 3, 2022. The movie’s production cost is between 200 and 220 crore.
S. Ramana Girivasan and Atlee collaborated on the writing for the movie for the fourth time in a row. The dialogues were contributed by Sumit Arora. Additionally, Atlee kept most of his standard crew members, such as stunt coordinator Anal Arasu, editor Ruben, art director T. Muthuraj, and cinematographer G. K. Vishnu. Additionally working as stunt directors were Spiro Razatos, Craig Macrae, Yannick Ben, Kecha Khamphakdee, and Sunil Rodrigues. The movie’s dances were choreographed by Farah Khan, Vaibhavi Merchant, Shobi, and Lalitha.
Casting of Jawan Movie:
Samantha was initially planned to be cast as the female lead actress, But finally, Nayanthara was cast, thus marking her Hindi film debut. Other leading casts Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Sanya Malhotra, and Yogi Babu cast later. Rana Daggubati was also offered the negative role but declined due to health issues and thus the role was offered to Vijay Sethupathi.
Deepika Padukone was cast in a guest appearance in a flashback role as Shahrukh’s wife in the film. After a ten-year absence, Babu and Khan reunited in Chennai Express (2013). Vijay’s appearance in the movie was officially announced in September 2022. Sanjay Dutt joined the cast in March 2023 to shoot an action-packed cameo.
Film Shooting:
This film shooting started in September 2021 in Pune. In June 2022, the film shooting takes place in Mumbai and Hyderabad for a few important family sequences. In August 2022, the film shooting takes place in Chennai.
Nayanthara and Shah Rukh Khan joined the 10-day shoot. It is the first movie to have been filmed in Pune Metro. Shahrukh Khan resumed film shooting in Hyderabad in June 2022. On June 26, 2022, Nayanthara began working on the Mumbai schedule after getting married. In this schedule, some family-drama scene shooting takes place.
Deepika’s guest role shooting take place in Chennai, where the next session started in August. Vijay Sethupathi eventually joined the filming. Khan and Sethupathi engaged in certain action scenes that were included in this schedule. During this time, while a jail, the song “Zinda Banda” was recorded. 1000 dancers participated in the song’s 5-day 5-day shoot, which was choreographed by Shobi Paulraj. the Chennai shooting schedule for a month came to an end on On October 7.
After that new schedule took place in Rajasthan in October. This 20-day schedule was a shooting done by Shahrukh Khan and Nayanthara. Khan filmed some chase scenes on the next schedule, which took place in February 2023. On March 20, 2023, Sanjay Dutt joined the production to shoot an important guest appearance.
Two songs, one with Deepika Padukone have a cameo and the other with Shahrukh Khan and Nayanthara were completed film shooting. in April 2023. A song with Khan and Nayanthara, choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant, was recorded at the Mumbai Yash Raj Studios in the middle of July.
Post-Production
Due to the film’s intensive use of computer graphics and visual effects, post-production for it started in January 2023 and lasted for six months. Ruben was in charge of editing. Red Chillies VFX is responsible for the movie’s VFX work.
The movie’s visual effects producer was Keitan Yadav, with Harry Hingorani serving as his assistant. The company added visual effects technicians to the group in April. The coloring for the movie was done by Ken Metzker of Red Chillies Color. The sound designer for the project was Kunal Rajan.
Anirudh Ravichander, who earlier wrote the background score for Jersey and a song for David, composed the music for the film. This would be his debut in Bollywood as a solo composer.
Music / Songs
According to rumors, director Atlee first approached A. R. Rahman about writing the score for the movie. Rahman later denied the assignment for unexplained reasons, and Anirudh was selected to write the music for the movie. For a record sum for a Hindi album, T-Series paid 36 crore for the music rights.
The two-minute promotional video’s “Jawan Prevue Theme” song was made available on July 10, 2023. Raja Kumari composed and performed the rap, and Anirudh and BNiznik also contributed to the performance. On July 31, 2023, the debut track “Zinda Banda” was made online. It received over 46 million views in just 24 hours, breaking the previous record for the most-watched Indian song in a single day.

Marketing
The title of the movie and a trailer were made public on June 3, 2022. A motion poster that was released on May 6, 2023, revealed the new release date after the movie was later postponed. On July 10, 2023, a teaser video called “Jawan Prevue” was published. With more than 112 million views in 24 hours, it became the most-watched Indian teaser. The teaser was later included in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One prints that were shown in theaters.
The hook step performed by Khan in the music video for the song “Zinda Banda” was choreographed by Shobi Paulraj and quickly became popular. By filming themselves dancing to the song and putting their videos online, many people have reproduced the hook step (signature step).
Release
On September 7, 2023, Jawan film will be released in 3 languages Hindi along with dubbed Tamil and Telugu versions. The movie’s initially planned to release on June 2, 2023, but the movie has been postponed till August 2023.
The movie was initially stated to be coming out on the 2nd day of June, However, it was later confirmed to be released on September 7, 2023. Theatrical rights for North India were purchased by Pen Studios under the Pen Marudhar Entertainment brand.
Tamil Nadu’s distribution rights were purchased by Red Giant Movies, while Andhra Pradesh and Telangana’s were purchased by Sri Venkateswara Creations. Theatrical rights for West Bengal were purchased by SVF and those for Orissa by Rajshri Productions. Yash Raj Films purchased the theatrical rights for use abroad. The film’s rights to Singaporean distribution were purchased by Home Screen Entertainment. The movie’s non-theatrical rights sold for 250 crores rs. (US$31 million).
