Hera Pheri is a 2000 Bollywood comedy film directer is Priyadarshan. This film leading star cast are Sunil Shetty, Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Tabu. It is the remake of 1989 Malayalam film Ramji Rao Speaking. The film create a sequel, Phir Hera Pheri, released in 2006.
The movie is known for its witty dialogues, hilarious situations, and excellent performances by the lead actors. It became a huge success at the box office and is still considered one of the best comedy movies ever made in Bollywood.
Over the years it has become a cult classic.It was voted as the best Bollywood comedy film of all time in an online poll conducted by The Indian Express. Paresh Rawal won the best comedian award in Filmfare, IIFA and Star Screen Awards.

Hera Pheri movie Story
“Hera Pheri” is a comedy film that revolves around three main characters – Raju (Akshay Kumar), Shyam (Suniel Shetty), and Baburao Ganpatrao Apte (Paresh Rawal).
Raju and Shyam are two struggling young men who are constantly in search of a way to make money. One day, they come across an advertisement for a job that pays a significant amount of money. They meet the employer, who turns out to be a prankster who is just looking to have fun at their expense.
Meanwhile, Baburao is a middle-aged man who runs a small garage and is struggling to make ends meet. He owes a lot of money to various people and is constantly hounded by his creditors. One day, he receives a phone call asking for a man named Deviprasad. Baburao tells the caller that there is no one by that name at his residence. However, the caller insists that the man is there and that he has paid a ransom of 1 crore rupees for his release.
Raju and Shyam see an opportunity to make some quick money and decide to pretend to be Deviprasad. They meet the caller, who turns out to be a gangster, and collect the ransom money. However, they soon realize that they have made a mistake and are now in deep trouble. The real Deviprasad is missing, and the gangster is after them to recover his money.
The rest of the movie is a series of comedic situations that arise as the three men try to come up with a way to return the money to the gangster while also trying to evade his goons. Along the way, they also encounter other eccentric characters, including a tenant who refuses to vacate Baburao’s house and a greedy businessman who wants to take advantage of their situation.
In the end, the three men manage to outsmart the gangster and return the money. The movie ends with the three friends becoming successful entrepreneurs and living a happy life.

Hera Pheri was the first film that Priyadarshan had worked with Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty. He had worked with Paresh Rawal in Doli Saja Ke Rakhna. It also marked the beginning of a long association between Priyadarshan and the three actors. Following Hera Pheri, Priyadarshan has made sure that either Akshay, Sunil, Paresh or a combination of the three actors would star in his films. The only exceptions are Dhol, Billu, Tezz and Rangrezz. Parts of the film were shot in Dubai, and Hera Pheri 3 will also be shot there.

This film review are positive from critics , Much of the acclaim went to Paresh Rawal for his comic timing and acting, with critics calling it “one of his best performances ever”.
Aparajita Saha of Rediff appreciate the movie by saying “the movie belongs entirely to Paresh Rawal. Whatever laughter the film solicits is solely due to him. He has impeccable timing and a natural flair for comedy. Sunil Shetty’s role and his performance is also too good.”
Alok Kumar of Planet Bollywood praised the movie saying “Priyadarshan’s Hera Pheri is a delight to watch for its performances, some songs, and an interesting story line”.

Sequel :
The sequel of “Hera Pheri” is titled “Phir Hera Pheri” and was released in 2006. It continues the story of Raju (Akshay Kumar), Shyam (Suniel Shetty), and Baburao (Paresh Rawal), who have now become wealthy and successful businessmen.
In the sequel, the trio invests their newfound wealth in a scheme that promises high returns. However, they are cheated by the promoter and lose all their money. Desperate to get their money back, they become involved in various schemes and scams, including selling stolen goods and impersonating policemen.
The movie introduces new characters, including a woman named Anuradha (Bipasha Basu) and a gangster named Tiwari (Sharat Saxena), who add to the humor and chaos.
In the end, the trio manages to retrieve their lost money and expose the fraudsters responsible for their losses. The movie ends with Raju, Shyam, and Baburao starting a new business venture with their recovered money.
