Har Dil Jo Pyar Karegan is a 2000 Indian Bollywood romance film directer by Raj Kanwar. The film stars Salman Khan, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerji with a special appearance by Shah Rukh Khan.

It was highly praised by the critics and was the third hit in a row by Salman Khan-Sajid Nadiadwala producer collaboration It became the fourth highest grosser of the year. The film is a remake of 1997 Malayalam film Chandralekha starring Mohanlal and the plot also has some minor elements loosely based on the film While You Were Sleeping.

Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega Movie Story :

Raj is a struggling singer with big dreams who is still waiting for his big break. One night he witnesses an accident where a car spins out of control and lands on the tracks of an on-coming train. Raj runs over to the wreckage and rescues the occupant just in time. He takes her to the hospital and the girl’s family are informed. The girl, Pooja Oberoi, survives but is in a vigil coma, a condition whereby she can hear and see everything but cannot speak nor move any part of her body. The Oberoi family is grateful to Raj and are led to believe that he is Pooja’s groom, Romi. Raj is reluctant to accept this but then he changes his mind and accepts being the groom, as he has an agenda of his own and takes advantage of this accident to further his goals. But then he meets Pooja’s best friend Jahnvi and falls in love with her. The situation is complicated even more when Pooja wakes up from the coma and begins to show feelings for Raj.

According to the Indian trade website Box Office India, with around 22,00,000 units sold, this film’s soundtrack album was year’s one of the highest-selling.”Har Dil jo Pyar Karega”, “Piya Piya”, “Ek garam chai ki pyali ho” and “Aisa Pehli Baar Hua Hai Satrah Athrah Saalon Mein” garnered special popularity, and the whole album was received positively. Screen rated the soundtrack album number one for the third week of August 2000. As of 2020, fans are petitioning for all the songs to be on TikTok.

This film review are Mostly Positive from Critics, IMDB Public Reviewing site give 5.2 Star Out Of 10 Star with Reviewers are 3942.

I have to admit I have NOT seen the movie but I want to comment on it. The last comment really trashed the movie. I have seen several of the songs on the smashing EROS International DVD Chart Toppers and they are fantastic. Really hard driving music and dancing. Even if the rest of the movie would turn out to be garbage, these hot songs would be the magic mushrooms on top of the dung hill. Iwould buy or see this movie for the songs alone. But then its the music and dance that I love about Bollywood movies. And while we are at it – check out Chart Toppers – forty five songs – four hours of Indian MTV with no commercials. Char Tppers from Yas Raj films is another excellent Bollywood musical compilation.
