Story of the film
Rekha (Kiran Juneja), although having a promising future, puts up her work when she marries Raj (Kanwaljit Singh), a wealthy playboy constructor. Soon after, Raj falls in love with Bindu (Anjali Sen), casts Rekha out of his life, and marries Bindu.
Disgusted Rekha, with the help of her brother Sagar, launches a firm that competes with Raj’s. With her hard work and perseverance, this company thrives and wins many of the construction contracts that would have otherwise gone to Raj.
Raj’s business suffers as a result of the loss of these contracts and eventually goes bankrupt. Rekha then purchases all of Raj’s business holdings and proceeds to assist Pooja, Raj’s daughter, without Raj’s knowledge. As a result, Rekha bequeaths all of her riches to Pooja.
As a result, Rekha becomes a paragon/model of extraordinary merit (Ek Missal) for women abandoned/forsaken by their marriages.
