Story of the film
The Singh and Oberoi dynasties have long harbored a deep animosity for one another. with every generation promising to exact their revenge. Suraj Singh (Sunny Deol) and his older brother Jai (Jackie Shroff) make up this generation. Suraj has no inclination for violence, in contrast to Jai, who lives the life of a gangster. When he first meets Sapna (Manisha Koirala), a young woman, they fall in love. He is prohibited from marrying Sapna since she is Oberoi’s sister when he brings her to meet Jai and the rest of his family (Anupam Kher).
Jai and the other Singh family members are persuaded to put aside their animosity and allow Suraj and Sapna to get married. Suraj’s buddy Raghu is attacked and injured one day by the men of Oberoi. Suraj kills all of Oberoi’s men when he enters his garage. But Raghu’s wounds cause his death. Suraj murders one of the thugs after pursuing him out of fury. To his delight, Oberoi accepts Jai’s marriage proposal when they meet, and the families begin making plans for the union. Jai begins to unwind and considers leaving his life as a criminal.
Then, a gang of guys shoot him with automatic guns, leaving him critically injured and admitted to the hospital. Suraj is furious and resolves to exact revenge on his brother for his wounds after learning about it. When he learns that the attackers are none other than Oberoi’s men, he makes a vow to destroy Oberoi and his criminal enterprise. Together with Jai, Suraj battles Oberoi’s troops, wounding Oberoi.
Oberoi admits to Jai that he was mistaken about love and that he wants to ask for forgiveness before passing away. But he had duped him, stabbing Jai with a knife. Then Suraj murders Oberoi. Jai informs Suraj that Oberoi was the same person before he passed away. Suraj and Sapna are reunited at the end of the movie, and Suraj scatters Jai’s ashes in the lake.
