Dus Movie Details :

Dus is a 2005 Indian Bollywood action thriller film based on the Indian Special Investigation Team (SIT) Officers. The film is directer is Anubhav Sinha and producer is Nitin Manmohan. It stars Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Abhishek Bachchan, Zayed Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Esha Deol, Dia Mirza and Raima Sen in lead roles. The film is a tribute to celebrated director Mukul S. Anand, who had died while filming the 1997 incomplete film of the same name, and which had also starred Sanjay Dutt along with Salman Khan. The film was a commercial and critical success at the Indian box office.

The film follows the head of the ATC, played by Dutt, and his team, as they embark on a mission to prevent a deadly terrorist attack orchestrated by an international terrorist and criminal, Jamwaal with only 7 days to do so. The incident was to take place on 10 May, thus explaining the name of the film.

Story of The Film :

Siddhant Dheer ATC chief receives information that a terrorist attack is going to take place on 10 May led by Jamwaal. His informer in Canada Neha informs him about the arrest of Himmat Mehndi right hand of Jamwaal. Siddhant sends his brother Shekar and Aditya to get hold of Himmat. a Canadian cop Dan teams with the duo after they save his life. While interrogating Himmat he reveals that everyone working for Jamwaal is pawn doesn’t know his identity and people who pose a danger to him are his former friends who spoiled his 10 May plans.

Production Of the Film :

The film is a tribute to celebrated director Mukul S. Anand, who had died while filming the 1997 incomplete film of the same name, and which had also starred Sanjay Dutt along with Salman Khan. Shah Rukh Khan was also reportedly set to star in the film. The film had a plot involving terrorism in Kashmir, along with Sylvester Stallone style action scenes. The film had a then unprecedented budget of 200 million. However, the 1997 film was cancelled after Anand’s death. The 2005 film is a different film, with a different plot.

Dus Movie Songs / Music :

The music is composer are Vishal-Shekhar. Lyrics are penned Panchhi Jalonvi and Mehboob. According to the Indian trade website Box Office India, with around 17,00,000 units sold, this film’s soundtrack album was the year’s sixth highest-selling. The song ‘Dus Bahane’ was reportedly the most played song in 2005.The song “Dus Bahane” was recreated as “Dus Bahane 2.0” for the 2020 film “Baaghi 3” by Vishal–Shekhar, and this was the first time to recreate their own song. The song Deedar De was recreated for the 2020 film Chhalaang.

This film review are Mostly Positive from Critics, IMDB Public Reviewing site give 5.5 Star Out Of 10 Star with Reviewers are 3100.

this is one of the worst bollywood movies i have ever seen.not only in the last few years but probably ever. the screenplay was awful.the plot had nothing new at all.everything that we have seen a hundred times. plus the ending is not so exiting either.well i can’t help saying that i was more than surprised to see it rated so high.u gotta be kiddin me .start watching Hollywood originals people.

the acting ; well u really can’t blame the actors , except that they choose to work in this.the director had left them no choice.the characters were so unrealistic that they cudn’t do much about it. watch it if u have got bored from counting stars.still think again ; continuing counting might be more fun.
