Do Aur Do Pyaar (meaning Two Plus Two Equals Love) is a 2024 Hindi-language romantic comedy that marks the directorial debut of Shirsha Guha Thakurta. Abhishek-Ananya, The Local Train, Subhajit Mukherjee, Lost Stories (DJs), and When Chai Met Toast are among the composers of the music. Paras Thakur (The Local Train), Kunaal Vermaa, Trina Mukherjee, Manoj Yadav, Ankur Tewari, Abhiruchi Chand, Azazul Haque, and Subhajit Mukherjee wrote the lyrics. The song “Tu Hain Kahaan” marked the singer Lucky Ali’s return to Bollywood after nine years away; Ali had previously performed for the Bollywood film Tamasha in 2015. Ali’s home city of Bangalore is where the song “Tu Hain Kahaan” was recorded.

Story of the film
Kavya Ganeshan, a dentist, and Anirudh “Ani” Banerjee, an industrialist, have been married for twelve years. Since they no longer find each other exciting, their marriage has failed despite the fact that they were married out of love. They have a lengthy history of having extramarital affairs as well. For Kavya she moved from New York to Mumbai with her partner, Vikram, a gifted photographer.
Anirudh is with a failing theater performer named Nora. Kavya and Anirudh are still living together, and neither of them dares to get a divorce. Kavya’s grandfather eventually dies of old age. Anirudh is adamant on accompanying her to the burial in Ooty.
Kavya is no longer with her family because of her elopement with Anirudh, which caused embarrassment to the prestigious Ganeshan family. Kavya’s brother Karthik, who was close to him, is coming from Los Angeles to administer the last rites in front of the grandfather.
There are frequent arguments between Kavya and her father. Anirudh travels with Kavya as she leaves the house following one of these arguments. They visit a hotel they used to frequent while they were dating. They start having fun after becoming wasted. They become drunk and get home late at night, where they start making out in a room. It turns out that all of the lights suddenly came on while they were making love in the same room where the corpse had been kept. Karthik had just arrived. The following day, Kavya and Anirudh return to Mumbai after the burial. After years apart, they have sex because they are so drawn to one another.
They ignore their separate affairs and begin having sex with one another. When Vikram sneaks into their apartment complex and sees Anirudh, their partners begin to notice. Anirudh and Kavya carry on this. Anirudh is asked to confirm that an apartment has been reserved in Kavya and Vikram’s names by a broker who phones Kavya on her cell phone. Verifying the reservation as Vikram, Anirudh learns that Kavya is having an affair. When Nora first meets Kavya at her hospital, she is upset with Anirudh and tells her that he is about to leave her. They now confront each other about their various relations after learning about them. There is a furious dispute. Anirudh says that once his father passed away, he had to adjust, take care of the company, and stop making music. Kavya claims that his transformation caused them to drift apart and that he did not have to alter.
They chose to file for divorce and sell their apartment. Kavya makes one more visit to the flat after a year has passed and the agreement for their residence has been finalized. Anirudh calls her, and he visits the flat as well. After she and Anirrudh split up and went on a tour of Europe, Kavya ended her relationship with Vikram right away. After she rose to fame, Anirudh and Nora’s romance did not endure long. Anirudh and Kavya continue to laugh and enjoy one another while dining out on their balcony.

Rotten Tomatoes, a review aggregate website, has an average rating of 6.3/10, with 86% of the reviews from 14 reviewers being favorable.
Pratik Gandhi’s emotional range makes him a delight to see, while Vidya is as wild as she is sensible, according to Sukanya Verma of Rediff.com, who gave him a rating of 3.5 out of 5.
Vidya Balan, who naturally has the most billing, is all practiced ease in the romantic comedy and lacks a certain spark, although she occasionally comes alive, according to Shubhra Gupta of The Indian Express, who scored it 2.5 stars out of 5.
Do Aur Do Pyaar’s relatable narrative and captivating chemistry between Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi are the main reasons it succeeds, according to the Bollywood Hungama reviewer, who gave the movie a rating of 2 stars.
