Story of The Film :

9 years ago Wali Khan (Irrfan Khan) was sent into Karachi, Pakistan by the Chief of RAW Ashwini Rao (Nasser) to report the activities of The Most Wanted Man in India. 9 days ago Rudra Pratap Singh (Arjun Rampal) Indian Armed Forces, MARCOS unit, Zoya Rehman (Huma Qureshi) RAW Explosives expert, and Aslam, a petty thief from the streets of Mumbai recruited by RAW, infiltrated Pakistan to join Wali Khan and carry out the mission to bring back The Most Wanted Man in India. The man who was going to break all ISI protocol and security and attend his own son’s wedding. The man who could on that day be abducted and brought back to India to face justice. 1 day ago everything went according to plan until it all failed. The team sent in to bring The Most Wanted Man in India, did the unthinkable – they carried out the most daring operation and almost got away with it. Almost because, something went horribly wrong.

Nikhil Advani signed Shruti Hassan opposite actor Arjun Rampal in December 2012.

Out of the three female protagonists in the movie, only Huma Qureshi was given the option of choosing the character she wanted to portray. The same choice was put forward to and exercised by Deepika Padukone in the 2012 flick Cocktail.

Marketing :

The first trailer of D-Day was released on 22 May 2013. The film was promoted by the star cast in Delhi, Jaipur, Indore, Mumbai etc. Huma Qureshi and Arjun Rampal promoted the film on Dance India Dance DID Super Moms. Irrfan Khan and Arjun Rampal promoted the film in the show Comedy Nights with Kapil. Rishi Kapoor and Arjun Rampal promoted the film in the dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

Release :

D-Day was given a U/A certificate by the censor board on 7 July 2013. The movie released on 19 July 2013, in 1200 screens worldwide.

This film review are Mostly Positive from Critics, IMDB Public Reviewing site give 6.9 Star Out Of 10 Star with Reviewers are 234.

Went to watch a movie after long. It takes a good surprise quotient to make me appreciate a film. , critics reviews raised my expectations. I did not wanted to see another documented evidence. And wow! Then this film struck like a fresh wave, eyes wide opened, and glued to my seat I watched and enjoyed every moment in the awe as the scenes unfold. Small emotions and unsaid dialogue topped with brilliant music integrating into the story of the film made the film must watchable.. Characters cleanly laid out, with their flaws in them makes them memorable . A nice execution of a nice script from a skilled and pro director. Must watch and an entertainer.

Critics Rating by Taran Adarsh, from Bollywood Hungama give 4 star out of 5 Star.
