Story of the film
Rosie Perreira is an extremely nervous widow who lives with her beautiful daughter Nancy, whom she hopes to marry a wealthy young man, and her violin-obsessed son Sabby. On the 9:10 AM Western Railway local train from Bandra to Church gate, Nancy is introduced to a young, eligible Tony Braganza by her brother and neighbor, Tom. Nancy complies with Tom’s request to introduce Tony to Rosie. At first, Rosie is worried about him because he only receives Rs. 300 per month whereas Nancy receives Rs. 700. However, she quickly has second thoughts after learning that he will receive Rs. 1,000 per month after his probationary period. It is allowed for Nancy and Tony to meet, and they eventually fall in love.
Nancy still likes Tony even though she was deceived by a boy she loved in the past. Tony’s hesitation costs him Nancy’s affection because Rosie believes he won’t follow through on the marriage. Soon after, Rosie begins searching for a son-in-law elsewhere. Although Nancy dislikes this, she first complies with her mother’s requests. Additionally, Nancy and Tony fight and cease to see each other on the train. Tom talks to Tony’s father after finding out. Tony’s father advises him to talk to Nancy about his reluctance to commit if it persists.
When Nancy and Tony finally cross paths, Nancy informs Tony that she will never see him again. At that moment, Tony realizes he truly loves Nancy and is unable to live without her. They get married when Nancy also confesses her love for him.

One version is sung by Shirley Temple. Mahendra Kapoor and Musarrat covered the Boney M song “Chori Chori” from their Hindi album Disco Fantasy. Akshay Kumar parodied “Uthe Sab Ke Kadam” in Waqt Hamara Hai by singing “Tara Rum Pum Pum.” Aaya Karo Kabhi Fail Kar Suno Mere Humdum Kabhi One Kabhi Kabhi Use Bhi Kum.”
