Story of the film
Pyare Mohan Bhargava and Inspector Arjun Singh get along well. While his sister Seema is dating Pyare, Arjun is single and occasionally the subject of crude remarks regarding his age. Smuggler Zorawar Siddiqui poses as a hotel sculptor in order to operate. Madhu, an eyewitness who is spying on him, is eliminated by Zorawar. Neha, a friend of Madhu’s, observes her murder and alerts the authorities. When Arjun gets there, he shows her how to get to Pyare’s residence.
Petty thieves Bade and Chote Miyan are identical twins of Arjun and Pyare. When Bade and Chote arrive in town, confusion arises since Arjun and Pyare are held responsible for every crime they commit. When Bade and Chote also beat Commissioner Shyamlal, things get even worse. Seema and Neha also mistake Bade and Chote for Pyare and Arjun. Trouble for Arjun and Pyare arises when Zorawar abducts Seema. They are taken into custody, but Bade and Chote’s arrival, who expose their actions and swear to bring Seema back, saves them.
When Arjun and Pyare show up with the police and everyone at the hideout is captured, they stop them at Zorawar’s hiding place. After expressing regret to Seema for the confusion, Bade and Chote depart. As Zorawar and his associates are being driven to prison, his goons steal the police van. Bade and Chote stop them and beg to give them a lift. After realizing the truth, Chote arranges the arrest of Zorawar and his soldiers. Bade and Chote are offered jobs in the police department, whereas Arjun and Pyare receive criticism for their error in the hijacking of the van. Ultimately, after being removed from their roles as traffic officers, Bade and Chote take Arjun and Pyare’s place as inspectors.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Movie Songs/Music:
The songs of the film, composed by Viju Shah with lyrics by Sameer, worked well. Similar to Shah’s prior compositions for films like Mohra and Gupt which became quite popular, the album noticeably showed his offbeat mode of music yielding tuneful numbers like the hit title track “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan”, the hit zippy bhangra number “Makhna” and the groovy “Kisi Disco Mein Jaayein”. Singers Udit Narayan, Sudesh Bhosle, Amit Kumar, Alka Yagnik, Jaspinder Narula, Anuradha Paudwal, and Kavita Krishnamurthy allied and rendered their voices for the songs listed below:
Sameer writes all lyrics; all music is composed by Viju Shah.
