Story of the film
Chandni comes from a low-income family and wants to get out of it. She travels to Bombay after realizing that marrying a wealthy man is one way to get rich. Assuming he is wealthy, she approaches a man standing next to a car and proposes marriage. She dumps him right away after learning that he is not wealthy. In reality, the man is Neeraj, who wants to work as a playback singer in motion pictures. He tries to meet musicians at every studio but is unsuccessful. In order to get away from a thugs, Chandni lands in a bunglaw. She asks the owner, Doctor Rana, to allow her to remain in the house since she intends to move in.
Dr. Rana lets Chandni dwell in his home after concluding that she is a naive rural girl. Rana is annoyed when Chandni takes control of the house and fires the maids. However, he is pleased to have a woman in his house now that his wife is no longer with him.
Neeraj tries to convince a social worker with a musical sibling to suggest him. He pretends to be weak in front of her, but Chandni exposes him when he visits Dr. Rana for therapy. Chandni is frightened as Neeraj becomes enraged with her and vows to thwart her plans.
Chandni intends to force Dr. Rana to ask her to marry him. When his ambitions to become a singer fail, Neeraj becomes disappointed. He asks Saritha, a well-known movie actress, for a chance. He accepts when Saritha extends an invitation. In reality, Saritha intends to wed him and will not support his goals. When Neeraj learns, he furiously departs. He understands that his love for Chandni is the cause. After discovering that Chandni can sing well, Dr. Rana transforms her into a stylish lady. Chandni declines Neeraj’s proposal because she prefers to wed a wealthy man.
After Neeraj makes several attempts to earn her affection, Chandni eventually agrees to him. Dr. Rana genuinely loves Chandni like his daughter, and Chandni feels sorry for her immature behavior.
Neeraj reunites with his wealthy parents and gets a chance to sing. He had an accident and loses his voice while traveling to meet Chandni. Chandni returns to her previous life after Dr. Rana passes away from illness. Neeraj leaves when they meet on the road, not wanting to be a burden on Chandni, but Chandni thinks that Neeraj abandoned her because she is impoverished.
With his mother’s assistance, Neeraj chooses to turn Chandni into a playback singer and provides her with unspoken support. Chandni becomes a well-known singer as anticipated, but she despises Neeraj for abandoning her. The remainder of the movie focuses on whether Chandni finds out about Neeraj’s true identity and whether he will regain his voice.
