Known professionally as Akshay Kumar, Akshay Hari Om Bhatia (born Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia; September 9, 1967) is an Indian actor and film producer who works in Hindi cinema. Known as “Khiladi Kumar” by the media, Kumar has starred in more than 100 films over the course of his 30-year career. He has also earned multiple accolades, including two Filmfare Awards and a National Film Award. The Indian government awarded him the fourth-highest civilian honor in India, the Padma Shri, in 2009. 2007–2011: Commercial success and professional setbacks :

He claimed to have been reminded of his own The Godfather by the trailers and posters. Regarding Pacino’s reply, Kumar stated: “An actor always treasures a little expression of gratitude, even if it comes from the most basic individuals, such as our cherished spot boys. But to have the most beloved mobster in the world, Al Pacino, compliment your work in such a positive way—I got chills just thinking about him while I watched the trailer! Kumar played master and student as he introduced viewers to each of the seven martial arts disciplines—karate, taekwondo, aikido, Muay Thai, capoeira, and Shaolin Kung Fu—in the seven-part miniseries Seven Deadly Arts with Akshay Kumar, which aired on Sundays in 2004. Kumar gave away one crore rupees to each of the three states of Kerala, Assam, and Chennai. Kumar is thanked by CM Sonowal.
During the initial wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, Kumar was among the first celebrities from Bollywood to donate to the PM CARES Fund. He gave Rs. 25 crores to the Prime Minister’s Fund and an additional crore to the charity of former cricket player Gautam Gambhir for the same purpose. During the deadly second wave of the novel coronavirus, the former cricket player disclosed on Twitter that Akshay Kumar had given Rs. 1 crore to his foundation in order to assist those affected. Many thanks to Akshay Kumar for giving the #GGF Rs 1 crore so that the poor could get food, medicine, and oxygen! God be praised. Kumar gave ?1 crore in 2021 to support the building of a school in the Jammu and Kashmiri district of Bandipora, Neeru Village.
Awards and nominations:
In addition to winning a National Film Award for Best Actor for the 2016 films Rustom and Airlift, Kumar has received two Filmfare Awards from 13 nominations: Best Villain for Ajnabee film (2002) and Best Comedian for Garam Masala film (2006). Kumar received an honorary Doctor of Law from the University of Windsor in 2008 in appreciation of his work in Indian cinema.The Indian government gave him the Padma Shri the following year. Kumar received recognition from The Asian Awards in 2011 for his exceptional work in film.
