Inseparable siblings Sagar and Pooja adore one another. Sagar clung to Pooja and raised her in the light of affection. He makes friends with Suraj while working as a laborer in a factory. They fall in love when Suraj saves Pooja from an accident. After a while, a labor issue causes the factory to close. Pooja brags about Sagar’s zeal during the ordeal, claiming that he works hard and swiftly achieves the summits. When Suraj asks him for a job and Sagar helps him, he purchases his same old factory. In the meantime, Sagar falls in love with his sister Saritha and forms a successful alliance with Pooja, namely Deepak Khanna.
When Sagar finds out about Suraj and Pooja’s romance, he performs their wedding. Pooja later learns that Sagar has abandoned his affection for her. She so persuades Deepak to marry Sagar and Saritha. Together with Suraj’s greedy sister Kalpana and nephew Kasthuri, they all reside together under one roof. Pooja and Saritha become pregnant. Sagar leaves the house after Virago Kalpana causes a rift. A baby boy is born to Pooja. Saritha dies after giving birth to a daughter.
After giving Pooja his possessions, a distraught Sagar departs the city. Through Kasthuri, Suraj discovers Kalpana’s wrongdoings and banishes her. Years pass. On the day of Rakhi, Sagar returns after becoming ill. Unbeknownst to him, he lost his sight while saving Pooja’s child. Sagar dies before Pooja can meet him, so she hurries to tie Rakhi. Pooja pursues him, demonstrating the enduring nature of their love.
