Story of The Film :
In Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhua, RAW Agent Vinod (Saif Ali Khan) is rescued by colleague Rajan (Ravi Kishan) from a rogue Pakistani army officer (Shahbaz Khan). In Russia/Uzbekistan, an ex-KGB Officer is tortured and murdered. In Cape Town, a group of international business tycoons discusses a rumor that the dead KGB officer possessed a nuclear suitcase bomb. In Moscow, Rajan is exposed and shot dead while trying to send a Code Red message to India. In India, the head of RAW sees the incomplete message containing just number 242. Agent Vinod undertakes a globe-trotting secret mission to discover the reason why his colleague, Rajan, was murdered. A series of twists and turns take Vinod across the globe to Morocco and Latvia, Karachi to Delhi and finally London where he discovers the actual conspiracy.
Production :
According to Raghavan, Agent Vinod is not a remake of the 1977 action film of the same name. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, he described it as “a realistic film … full of action pieces, thrills and characters.” On 30 May 2010, the director reported that the film’s shoot had officially begun in Mumbai. Filming later continued in Morocco and Latvia.
A Pakistani film maker Iram Parveen Bilal, whom director Sriram Raghavan met at Indian Film Festival Los Angeles, in 2008 was the inspiration behind Kareena’s character name.
Agent Vinod Movie Songs / Music :
The film’s soundtrack has been composed by Pritam. The track “Steal the Night (I’ll Do the Talking Tonight)” is a partial interpolation of the 1978 song “Rasputin”, composed by German disco group Boney M. According to IBN live, Raabta is the “most beautiful song” of the film. The version of Raabta used in the film is the Night in a Motel version and is incorrectly listed as being sung by Hamsika Iyer when in fact it was Aditi Singh Sharma who sung this song. Moreover, the song Habibi Ya Nour El Ain performed by Alabina, Ishtar was used in a scene background when Agent Vinod and Freddie Khambatta are seen walking out of Morocco Airport. However the song and artist are not credited. The version of Dil Mera Muft Ka used in the film is not available on the soundtrack. Also not available on the soundtrack is the title song seen in the film Govind Bolo Gopal Bolo. Due to popular demand it was uploaded on YouTube by T-Series on 29 March 2012.

Agent Vinod Movie Review :
This film review are Mostly Positive from Critics, IMDB Public Reviewing site give 5.2 Star Out Of 10 Star with Reviewers are 7102.
It was a treat to me as far as the concept story and direction was concerned.. Although i doesn’t support the songs in between the movie(dancing and all stuff) but the songs were used intelligently without actually wasting any time… Saif’s acting was amazing…kareena also have done justice to her role… the only problem its having is the length…157 mins is hell lot of a time(but common for a Bollywood movie though) Its a nice Action Thriller which kept me busy during the whole time…
I usually didn’t write reviews here but the other negative reviews made me do so… c’mon guys…it was a positive attempt to make a bond like(spy) movie in Bollywood and it did justice…i think it didn’t get the response which it should have gotten actually..
Critics Rating by Taran Adarsh, from Bollywood Hungama give 4 star out of 5 Star.
