Story of the film
Raj and Kajal, a couple, are the subject of Saawan… The Love Season. After getting married, Kajal meets a man who can foretell the future after they return from their honeymoon in Patiala. The man is well-versed in everything, from a catastrophic disaster on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway to a person dying at 9 p.m. He is a Nostradamus of the modern era.
He informs Kajal that she will pass away in two days when she inquires about her future. Kajal informs Raj that she is broken, and he vows to kill Nostradamus if anything were to happen to her. Kajal is fatally shot by police officers outside a retail mall on that tragic day. Nostradamus dies after Raj breaks into his house, accuses him of being responsible, and beats him severely. Nostradamus foretells his own demise as he passes away. Kajal, who has already been declared dead, awakens when Nostradamus passes away. She is now living. She rekindles her love for Raj, and with the assistance of Raj’s admirer and friend Funsukh, the couple remarries and leads a happy life together.

Review of the film
IndiaFM’s Taran Adarsh rated the movie a 1 out of 5, noting that although SAAWAN: THE LOVE SEASON is a mediocre film overall, Salman’s star power gives it some potential on single screens and in the Hindi belt. That’s it!
Rediff user Patcy N rated the movie a score of 1 out of 5, saying that Saaawan has a lot of problems. It is also poorly directed and written. The music is terrible, but the dancing is tolerable. Aswani and Jhaveri, the two rookies, gave mediocre efforts.
