Production :

The film was developed in 2000 and it was originally going to star Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Kareena Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Armaan Kohli, and Shammi Kapoor. Although the project was shelved and the cast was refreshed as Khan stayed in the project.

Story of The Film :

Yeh Hai Jalwa is the story of happy-go-lucky Raju. Street-smart and worldly-wise, Raju’s life takes a turn when he finds out he is the illegitimate son of seriously rich, UK-based businessman Rajesh Mittal. Raju of course sets off to London to claim his rightful place in the Mittal family and a happily married Rajesh Mittal living with wife, Smita and daughter, Rinkie is rudely confronted with a grown up illegitimate son. While Raju is busy trying to make a place for himself in his adamant father’s heart, he also finds a soulmate in Sonia, the daughter of Mittal’s most trusted advisor.

This film review are Mostly Positive from Critics, IMDB Public Reviewing site give 4.7 Star Out Of 10 Star with Reviewers are 2188.

Raju (Salman Khan) was raised only by his mother. After her death, Raju sees a man on television who he recognizes as his father. Ecstatic, he flies to London to meet him and is crushed when the man (Rajesh Mittal played by Rishi Kapoor) refuses to recognize Raju as his son. Raju decides to infiltrates Mittal’s family and wreck it in retaliation.

With a fairly predictable plot, mediocre musical numbers, and a barely existent love story, this film relies solely on acting to be entertaining. Khan, Kapoor and Kader Khan (who plays Mittal’s father) give strong performances, but it’s not enough to raise this movie from being just average.

Critics Rating by Taran Adarsh, from Bollywood Hungama give 1.5 star out of 5 Star.
