Masti (2004) Movie :
Masti Movie is a 2004 Indian Bollywood adult comedy film directer by Indra Kumar, and starring Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani and Ritesh Deshmukh in the lead roles with Lara Dutta, Amrita Rao, Tara Sharma and Genelia D’Souza as female leads and Ajay Devgn in a supporting role.The film released IN 2004, and received positive response from critics, and also managed to do well at the box office, turning out to be a moderate success at the box office. Masti was also amongst the low number of Bollywood adult comedy movies at the time of its release.
It is the first installment of Masti film series. Film also had its sequels released as Grand Masti (2013) and Great Grand Masti (2016).

Story Of The Film :
A murder is committed in a town in India and the Police ask a senior policeman to deal with his matter. His name is Sikanker and he begins his investigations and after doing so, he finds that he has three suspects. Three men, who are all married, but have been involved in seducing a woman named Monica. The three men are Amar, Prem, and Meet, who all claim their innocence – but in Sikander’s books – they are all guilty until they prove themselves innocent. How can they prove themselves innocent, when their very wives will refuse to speak up on their behalf?

The soundtrack of the movie was composed by Anand Raj Anand and the lyrics were penned by Sameer. According to the Indian trade website Box Office India, with around 10,00,000 units sold, this film’s soundtrack album was the year’s fifteenth highest-selling.The song ‘Dil de diya hai’ is still popular among the youth.

Masti Movie Sequel :
A sequel named Grand Masti was released 9 years later on 13 September 2013. The film broke many box office records and was among the highest-grossing films, crossing the 100 crore mark worldwide. The film was given a “Super Hit” verdict after its theatrical run.

Watched this movie during my engineering days and loved it. Very enjoyable and humourous. Aftab, vivek and Riteish did a great job in the movie and the whole movie is just about them. Ajay devgan adds an interesting twist in the film.
Good music, great comedy, good performances and an absolute entertainer. Masti is pure masti.
